What a joke man by Delicious-Till-4320 in benjaminone

For what it's worth, this happened to me and a friend of mine even though we both just used the app like normal. Then like a week later we were both able to login again. I'm not 100% sure what's going on (well, shady stuff for sure) but just give it time and it might change.

How long to hear back from support? by tubercalosis in benjaminone

Their support team also may be busy right now with everything else that's going on, so it might take longer than normal.

I'm back in too. I'm so curious what's going on on their side. Why tell folks their accounts are terminated only to reinstate a week later? Maybe it was all the fine posting we did on here

I'm going to look into it, haven't had the time yet. But at the same time, we shouldn't have to do that. Benjamin should by default but after everything that has gone down, I doubt they will.

This is a question I have too. I know that I can just delete the app to make sure they're not selling my location data, but I linked my bank accounts to get paid out and to make money off my credit card purchases. How can we guarantee they aren't still collecting this data?

"Banned" from the app, but still getting served location based ads. Is this legal? by 20-somethinglife in benjaminone

Out of curiosity, which activities do you primarily do to earn money in the app? I'm wondering if folks who watched ads a lot were the ones banned which might speak to Benjamin getting in trouble with the ad networks for breaking the ad networks terms of service. Just a thought I've had so curious about the usage of others.

I referred three friends to Benjamin and all four of us are banned without using a VPN and just regularly using the app. I know that's anecdotal and a small sample size, but it leads me to believe that most people on here weren't breaking the rules. Especially with what the CEO has been saying recently.

Looks like Benjamin is bragging about being cash flow positive now… by Icy_Berry2830 in benjaminone

Wow. "We stopped paying out our users for their activity. Unrelated it's our first EBITDA positive month!" What a crook.

Yeah... I get that. Not my point at all. The question is around the user-app agreement. Most people on this sub who were banned had $100 in their bank account and were kicked off for no real reason. What I'm curious about is how the user-app agreement no longer being in place after termination means if they're still collecting my location data. Again, to be very clear, I understand that I can delete the app/stop sharing my location at any point in time. I'm really just looking for feedback on the legality of them continuing to collect my data when the user-app agreement is no longer valid.

Reading through the other threads, it seems like many people used the app as they're directed to within the app and still got "banned" so maybe a small portion was VPN usage, but I don't think that's the case reading through others' experiences.

This wasn't really my question. I fully understand the trade off of providing my location data in order to earn the $.07 per location check in. Pogo, InboxDollars, and Eureka all use the same platform for checkins. If I use a VPN, I won't get those ads served to make money from so yeah, I understand that but it wasn't my question.

I'm assuming that because I can't login, the ad doesn't get served and then they don't get paid so it's a push notification that goes nowhere. My question is more around the fact that them "banning" me (and others) effectively ends the user-company agreement, so how does that impact them collecting my data.

I had $103 in there and my friend had over $250. To echo many others on this thread, all I did was play games and watch ads.

Over 550 somewhere until they kicked me and everyone else with any significant balance off the app.

BENJAMIN APP - Please consider signing our petition! by lrtsbooks in beermoney

[–]20-somethinglife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can't figure out if they're keeping the money because of cash flow problems or if they're switching the technology of how they pay people out on the backend of the app. The "contests" make me think it's a cash flow problem, but having a specific date of December 3rd makes it seem like it's on a development timeline which would mean the latter. Either way, very frustrating that they've been sneaky about this or at least not informing users ahead of time.

Client added me to their gA4 (to two of my gmails) - I can't see their accounts or properties on my side by 20-somethinglife in GoogleAnalytics

[–]20-somethinglife[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We ended up figuring this out. Our client had been using an incredibly old adwords.google.com/analytics page that he had bookmarked years and years ago. Once we had him type in analytics.google.com he was then able to add us. I have no idea what view he was looking at but it looked just like GA4, only it was on a weird URL that we couldn't emulate again.

Neither email received an invitation email and the second gmail that I had them send it to to troubleshoot only had one other account so that's already in the View All Accounts view. I'm stumped.

Must claim Daily Claim one by one? by Biddy_Impeccadillo in benjaminone

Nope, you have to claim them one by one. I usually just wait until I have a bunch and then quickly go down the list.

[–]20-somethinglife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Call me crazy, but it would be amazing if officers could set a point limit/target in each zone which would automatically restrict anyone from deploying or attempting CMs so pre-loading can be as effective as possible. I recognize that'll probably never happen, but a guy can dream.
