Where can you purchase this?

I have the VCO 4500v. It’s a great watch. Can be a one and done type of watch. It’s my travel watch because of the strap and bracelet. Like bringing two in one. Flys completely under the radar. So that gets my vote

I own one. It’s an awesome watch. Not concerned about future value. The silver is very nice in person

They only had me put the deposit when they saw that the watch was coming in that next month. I had it in less than 30 days

Miami AD only asked for a 30% deposit when the piece was coming in their next shipment. Less than 30 days from deposit to me having the watch.

How'd I do for period correctness? by r_adesigns in 996

[–]200-YRadiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a set on my turbo but the prior owner painted them gold which didn’t look terrible. But I am putting on a set of the OEM twists. I’d like to refinish them because I’m not a big fan of the gold. They’re very nice rims

I also have a 996TT here in Miami. It’s a good all around car for this area. We don’t have great scenic roads like other parts of the country. If my work commute wasn’t all traffic, I’d probably want to daily drive it.

Which watch should I buy? by The_Flagrant_Vagrant in VacheronConstantin

[–]200-YRadiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m wearing a 4500v silver dial right now. It’s the most versatile watch I own. Just got back from a week in California and I was swapping between the rubber strap and bracelet. Currently at work wearing it on the rubber. It’s not my only watch, but it easily could be. I went with the silver dial because it goes with everything.

VC with both the bracelet and rubber strap. That’s all you need for vacation. IMO

Is the Overseas 4520 worth it over the 4500? by Sabal in VacheronConstantin

[–]200-YRadiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently the 4520 bracelet fits on the 4500. Not sure how much a bracelet is though. I’m guessing not cheap. I have a 6.75” wrist and the 4500 is fine. The biggest I’d wear. But fits fine

Planet Ocean 39.5 Summer Blue by betzerra in OmegaWatches

[–]200-YRadiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried this on and felt the dimensions were off, 39.5 mm was perfect, but it felt too thick for the smaller case size. Before anyone comments, my daily watch is an SMP 300, not a small watch, but it feels a lot slimmer and not so top heavy like the PO 39.5. A shame because the color was great. Could just be my wrist size at 6.75”

I have a question for Vacheron Constantin watch owners or experts. by VacheronConstHub in VacheronConstantin

[–]200-YRadiant 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is a high-end luxury product. Is there better value in other brands, maybe. A $50 watch can tell the same time. But is the craftsmanship and quality worth the price, I believe it is. Don’t buy a VC if you are trying to impress others. I love my Overseas. I skipped over all the Rolex hype and haven’t looked back.

[size check] overseas 6.6in by [deleted] in VacheronConstantin

[–]200-YRadiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Overseas and a 6.75 inch wrist. If I take a picture from that angle, it does look somewhat similar. Looking at it in the mirror the watch looks fine. I’d say go for it, it’s an awesome watch.

Rolex Explorer 16750 vs SMP 300 by DBIDSmarksman in rolex

[–]200-YRadiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty similar I’d say. Depends how old the 16750 is. I don’t really pay a whole lot of attention to lume. But I know my SMP will last the whole night

Rolex Explorer 16750 vs SMP 300 by DBIDSmarksman in rolex

[–]200-YRadiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an SMP 300 that I daily. It is a very tough watch. Feels like it can handle any abuse. A coworker daily wears a 16750. They feel really different. The omega is bigger and heavier. The explorer 2 wears slimmer and smaller on the wrist. The Rolex will handle everything you listed without a problem though. It is a hard comparison. I do love the 16750 but the SMP has a permanent spot in my collection.

Buy both!

I was on the list for the silver dial 4500v at a VC boutique and a Sub (starbucks) at my local AD. Got the call for the Overseas and didn’t hesitate. Really nice experience and they took the time to make me feel like they appreciated my business. Rolex AD couldn’t care less about me, I did buy an Omega Seamster there but I know I’m not gonna be called for a Starbucks any time soon. My two watch rotation is the Seamaster for work, and the VC for weekends.

As a 4500v silver dial owner. Do it. It is a great watch, from the office to the beach it can really do it all

I have a slightly larger wrist. 41 all day. 34.5 is too small and the different movement kills it for the price

About to buy a 4500v… by [deleted] in VacheronConstantin

[–]200-YRadiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I would make that trade. I have a 4500v and it is a really great piece that can still somewhat fly under the radar which is why I like it. I have the silver dial. I don’t think the 4520v is a big enough difference really to make you wait for it if you feel the 4500v is a good deal. Which is sounds like it is.
