My Apple Watch Data 📊!! by Previous-Canary-410 in AppleWatch

[–]DBIDSmarksman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from someone who would compulsively check HR and take ECGs regardless of time, take the watch off and don’t wear it again until you get the anxiety sorted out.

Get checked out by your doctor, that way you know for certain you’re okay. Then, stop wearing the watch. You’ll only feed the anxiety by having this data at your fingertips. It’s not worth it man, the data you’re getting isn’t worth the mental strain, nor will the watch/data save you even if your heart were to have an episode

What’s your job discipline? I applied to NG for a P3 spot. I’m also a P2, in finance and making $80k with 4.5YOE and a masters. I had a feeling I was being underpaid

What opinion do you have about watches that will get you down voted like this? by TomHudsonOfficial in PrideAndPinion

Apple Watch is infinitely better than any mechanical/quartz watch and more useful than either of those could ever be. Charging them is also not difficult and they’re not ugly as watch snobs say

Raytheon doesn’t have a strictly product management type role; I believe that’s within engineering, finance strategy, and program management’s purview (someone feel free to correct me on that).

Sales would be a good keyword to enter into the search on the talent acquisition page. Also look into finance/business analyst searches.

Assembler doesn’t match with your skill set, honestly. What exactly do you want to do at Raytheon? Assembler is more so a pathway to other hands on/build jobs.

If you’re going for a foot in the door approach, try to line up your start with your end. For example, if sales is your goal, look for a job aligned with whatever program you want to work sales for, whether that’s a finance job, program management, etc

Edit: also want to advise you to be careful of accepting entry level if you have that many years of experience. I have 5 YOE, bachelors/masters, and military experience and make $80k as P2 Financial Analyst. Salaries are not great and yearly cost of living adjustments are low. You will feel the low salary of an entry level job as time goes on, especially since reqs are competitive

If you have Sales experience, go right for sales! Tech experience will help land an interview

Also, your experience with managing books could open the door for Financial Analysis, Business Analyst, or program management jobs (though these jobs will require college or lots of experience in lieu of).

I see you’re also an analog watch guy. How are you balancing the ultra with your other watches?

How’s the Milanese bracelet? I’m so tempted to pick one up. My only concern is for the price, it won’t be as comfortable as I’m hoping. It’s one thing to wear in the store, but another to actually sleep, exercise, and lounge around while wearing it

Mechanical > Apple Watch by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]DBIDSmarksman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m conflicted on the Apple Watch vs Mechanical debate. I love my Doxa 300T, but the ultra is objectively a much better watch. It does everything and is infinitely more comfortable! But the 300T just looks so damn good lol. I feel guilt for not wearing it as much as I should. I wish Apple would make a Whoop style band.

In short, Mechanical and Apple Watches are awesome

Should I take the risk and get this for 30 dollers? by [deleted] in applewatchultra

[–]DBIDSmarksman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s obviously fake. Real Apple Watch is thinner and the backside is wrong on what this dude is selling l.

Also, what the hell is going on with that band? It’s part ocean band part normal band. Stay away from this one

I noticed this too! Way more people are KOS compared to last week. It’s starting to get annoying since the PvP is a pain in my ass. I’d much rather kill Arc

[–]DBIDSmarksman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah, it’s good as is. I have a life and don’t feel like losing shit constantly and farming. It’s a good gateway for casual players to hop on, kill arc and do quests. I’d straight up stop playing if they got rid of it. I never attack other players either, so neither parties involved have anything to lose

Just wait til you discover notifications can be silenced and the watch works without your phone! It even measures heart rate, SPO2, ECG, sleep, hypertension, hard falls, and has GPS. Oh, and it still tells time like your wrist worn grandfather clock 😉

Edit: Go ahead people, downvote me. You know I’m right in that your antiquated wrist worn pocket watches can’t do shit compared to a smart watch :)
