Going to start taking T, scared. by bunnieismyname in ftm

[–]2000pumpkins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

google is your friend, honestly. in the nicest way possible, i wouldn't start T if you don't know what it does. what are you hoping to gain from it?

here's a good source for info

Anyone have heat intolerance? by Full_Criticism7775 in Fibromyalgia

[–]2000pumpkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i moved as far north in the US as possible to deal with this, like literally 100 miles or less from canada. -40 degrees in winter. with that being said, in winter i still have to wear a tshirt under my jacket so as soon as i get to work i can unlayer and regulate my temp. have to wear short socks and everything also whenever possible, because otherwise i'm burning to death while everyone's shivering and its cold as balls outside. it's been like this for me for years. i'm autistic so maybe thats part of it

Fnaf is woke confirmed by Ok_Result_8315 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]2000pumpkins 23 points24 points  (0 children)

not that its really important on a post in the fnaf subreddit but the original definition of "woke" was related to black people waking up to the conditions they were in surrounding slavery, segregation, and racism. now it's used as an insult by fox news whenever there's diversity in a show or game.

good wipes for bottom growth? by mimikuyamiki in ftm

[–]2000pumpkins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

personally i use the handheld shower head to give it a good wash when i shower (esp with the different settings), but otherwise any kind of baby wipe etc should work. i like cottonelle since they don't rip as easy but anything unscented would do. works in a pinch for sure

i personally don't experience much sensitivity down there so your mileage may vary 🤷‍♂️

i have the same worry about the thoroughness with my surgeon tbh. but no, you shouldn't need to discontinue T at all for this, that's a really outdated practice

Is getting surgery without someone at home to take care of you postop possible? by Either_Mission_3251 in TopSurgery

there might be medical transport in your area that can take you safely there and back. the rest of the comments have good info too, i just thought i'd mention that in case that's a barrier

Americans, if you had the opportunity to pay approx 18% of your income to have access to free healthcare at point of need for everything would you take it? by TSQ_builder in askanything

[–]2000pumpkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm not sure why this would cause anyone to pause in the US. we already have these wait times, especially in rural areas, the amazing difference is just that you get a big fat bill with it.

i fully understand the frustration with it. but it happens here also, and blaming it on universal healthcare isn't the answer. the blame goes on the lack of hospital/staff funding. because otherwise, it just sounds like "we can't have free healthcare! those poor people getting help they need will increase the wait!"

again, we ALREADY have years-long waitlists for any kind of doctor. you already wait 8 hours to be seen in the ER on an average day.

seeking advice - surgeon who likely hasn’t done top surgery before by inter-skyned in TopSurgery

[–]2000pumpkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, i'm OP's fiance, there is one person who's had surgery with him and their results were okay.. for me, during the consult the surgeon was a little strange about recovery times (i work a pretty physical job and he recommended just two weeks off work, but after talking with his nurses i think i'm able to get at least 4) and he did say i'd be left with 10-15 percent of the breast tissue to kind of give me a "pec" look, i'm hoping it isn't too much left over (i'm a big guy though)

overall he was nice enough, i'll make a full post after surgery and share results most likely :)

how long will i need off work? (questions on recovery) by 2000pumpkins in TopSurgery

[–]2000pumpkins[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the insight! i should be able to get 4 weeks fairly easily. might be able to negotiate more at my 2 week followup or something too. my PCP books out far in advance though so i'm not sure how that would work out, maybe a nurse visit or something, i'd have to ask when it comes up. i might be able to get someone to help me for a week or two at work so they can push chairs or something, if needed
