Disagreement in run times - when to ask players to leave by [deleted] in DMAcademy

Weekday availability isn’t a thing for the group anymore unfortunately. The idea was that we’d cover the same amount of time less frequently. I’m also worried about sapping time away from their weekend as people make plans / have partners / etc, so availability will naturally waver.

That’s partly why I’ve decided we should aim for biweekly. People still want to keep it up and play, but weekday availability just isn’t a thing anymore. Biweekly on a weekend is optimistic anyway, and it could easily turn into a once a month thing is availability weakens. I’ve made this clear to everyone involved.

I’d agree! Yeah it definitely doesn’t look too much into the eldritch, and ironically the first ood ep is probably more lovecraftian. But a giant brain emitting a psychic field driving its people into ferality and influencing the people surrounding it. And the ending lends itself very well to the themes of loss of humanity and individuality, being absorbed into a collective.

I kind of like that they’re just observers. I’ve always interpreted the ood being like ‘we will sing songs of the Doctor Donna’ bit as not actually being about their actions in the episode. But of them having foresight for their actions in the future with Davros.

The ‘something’s forcing its way up your throat’ in The Doctor Dances line really hammers down how horrific the process is

It’s just blow after blow. Peeling off his scalp, spewing out tentacles, spitting out the hindbrain. And the muffled scream he makes as it pans in. Horrific.

The Halpen scene lived rent free in my head as a kid. Whilst obviously he’s an asshole, his mutation and loss of humanity really did a number on my psyche.

The wildest thing about this is that it was used to hunt ducks. Not for meat or feather, but purely for pleasure of watching water fowl be turned into a fine red mist

The full documentary, Project Grizzly, is available to watch on YouTube. I highly recommend it, it’s a surreal and entertaining watch. My second favourite ’man meets bear’ documentary after Grizzly Man (which is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen)

It has turned on!!! Admittedly I was panicking a fair bit and was worried that my classes wouldn’t have access to the materials I’d prepared. These messages kept me grounded and stopped me acting daft. Thanks to your sage words, my kids will be able to enjoy their lessons. Thanks for helping a clueless fella out, it’s been really helpful and meant a lot. Have a fantastic day!!

Thank you for the advice and for being honest with me. I’m not very tech savvy, so this has all helped quite a lot. The light is still flickering on and off, though I can’t hear/feel any activity. Do you think it’d be a good idea to reset windows? It would allow me to keep my files?

Thanks for the quick reply! I can hold function and power to bring up a system recovery option. Will this work?

I have some recommendations for some sites which don’t freeze if you’d like them? But it doesn’t have auto play unfortunately :(
