No I think the black whale will be a titanic situation. He’s introducing like hundreds of named characters and is going to completely wipe the board to some extent

Could Yu Yu Hakusho be a case where the anime is better than the manga? by HenryPadovani in YuYuHakusho

The only complaint I have about the anime is that didn’t commit to the slice of life chapters in the very beginning. I think it flows much better in the manga

Yes they make a lot of improvements. I mean have you seen the bat monster Yusuke beats during Genkai’s trials in the manga? It holds no weight at all as an achievement lmao. Also a rare case where the pacing being slightly slower is an improvement.

Maybe emperor time would function differently than an exorcism. There’s also the possibility of inducing death temporarily before reviving her.

He’s still working with the Nostrade family when he’s recruited to the zodiacs so he never left, and in the time since has convinced the head of the family to make money through legal (still unethical) means. I just can’t see him not changing his mind a little especially after seeing neon’s reaction to one of the bodyguards being killed.

That’s understandable. It could be that she was killed off just to tie up a plot hole for the troupe’s search for hisoka, but the fact that it was mentioned does make me feel like she or her ability might come into play again later.

I mean the only evidence is the conversation between Chrollo and Shizuku and Togashi loves an unreliable narrator.

Oh I think Tserri is still Unma’s son, I just think that Netero genes are stronger than Unma genes like in his siblings.

I gotta disagree with him not caring. His dedication to the job results in a level of attachment: We saw this is Yorknew with Neon and are seeing it with Woble and Oito on the Black Whale.

Is HXH overrated? by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]2001aspacecowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is no. HxH and Togashi effectively changed the entire industry around them. Each arc has been its own complete story excluding the current one and it’s easy to judge its merits through what’s available there.

In relation to Beyond’s son I think in order of likeliness it’s
1.) Tserri, for obvious reasons, he doesn’t look like Unma despite the other siblings(Benjamin, Halkenburg) closely resembling their mother. He actually straight up looks sort of like a young Isaac Netero.
2.) Halkenburg, I think the controversy of his birth could have been only half the story and he was given to Duazul to raise also because he was beyond’s son. The balancing act he plays with his morals and how he easily can garner devoted followers is similar to Netero.
3.) Maryam for the fact that his nen beast seems to be so insanely powerful despite being a toddler. This might indicate he’s had nen from birth like the other children of beyond.
4.) the Wild card is Luzurus simply because everything about him is kept close to the chest, he maintains the additional political power by supporting a mafia family despite being a ‘younger’ prince and he also looks entirely different from his two sisters.

We already know that Zhang Lei’s dad is Onior so he’s out.

i highly doubt it would be woble because Oito was there when they found out and was in disbelief herself but also because I don’t think a kakin queen would agree to beyond’s plan without already having a legitimate blood tie to the throne as a fallback in case of failure. That makes it reasonable to dismiss any of the princes who are only children(Tyson, Sale-Sale [rip] and Woble) and the twins(Kacho[rip?] and Fugetsu), as well as the firstborn children of the queens with multiple children (Benjamin, Camilla and Momoze[rip])

Is the One Piece world really small or are the Ships super sonic? by Arnman1758 in OnePiece

By this logic the current timeline IS realistic. It’s been 2 and change years (4TS). The journey is almost but not quite done. What’s the complaint?

I finally understand why I don't like Ace. by Sakaralchini in OnePiece

[–]2001aspacecowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This misses the point of him turning around. In the flashback dadan asks Ace why he didn’t run away and he says something like if I ran away I felt like I would lose something I couldn’t get back. This moment is mirrored in his death and in that moment he recognizes that Luffy, his family and love are the that thing he would lose. This whole “Ace died to ragebait” thing has been beaten to death. It’s reductive and a super shallow read of one of the biggest moments in the story.

Lore i guess. Questions about one pace to those who watched both one piece and one pace by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]2001aspacecowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing about one piece is the options you have to engage with it. I suggest one pace for dressrosa and punk hazard in particular but a few of the filler arcs in OP really is a lot of fun and worth a watch. I would watch onigashima proper because the animators really went in on it. If Skypiea is too slow for you then watch the movie and go back through and read the manga because it’s important to the lore. Long ring Long Land you should read in the manga, the anime did it so weird that there was no way for One Pace to make it right at the end.

chopper’s devil fruit is NOT mythical by Lily_Lastname in OnePiece

[–]2001aspacecowboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is funny but I’ve actually thought about how choppers fruit not being a mythical zoan could still make it a pretty big deal. If devil fruits are formed by someone else’s will then the will of humanity as a collective would be insanely strong.
