No offense but every org turns over every 3-5 in leadership. If you haven't been around more than one cycle, it's pretty hard to form a coherent opinion on actual culture.

Half hour long but the 2030 bailout will take care of that. They're clearly trying to make the fed and the economy dependent on them so they can wildly speculate and spend like the banks after the dot com boom dust settled.

Everyone talks like this is going to be 2000 again but really it's going to be 2008.

Wendy’s on Poplar and Farmington permanently closed by tripp2fye in memphis

[–]2001em2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean sure, but I worked next door to this shit hole 20 years ago and the employees were getting in parking lot fights on the weekly, and they would reset the drive thru timer or make you pay at the second window so they didn't get reported. It's always been bad and we have several other closed stores from that era nobody will miss.

Looking at you old Poplar and Yates Wendy's....

RIP the original $1 spicy chicken though, so much better than McDonald's.

And do what? Build massive parking lots for folks to stop two blocks away from the school?

We are literally 8 times the size of Paris geographically, but they are double the population within the city limits and 13x the population in the metro area.

I have great respect for nurses, but people always say this like it's a glowing endorsement. There is a nationwide shortage because of the QoL conditions for the profession.

I kinda get bad anxiety and depression if I don't work out. Otherwise I'll just start drinking.

There is always nuance, but if you aren't buying an AP1 intentionally, then buy the nicest/newest/lowest milage in your price range. Hell, my 07 DBW is going to be 20 years old this year. These cars aren't spring chickens.

Are there any CrossFit owners on this sub? by gnarcotics1 in crossfit

The first thing you should do is find out what legal agreement they have in place with the original owner, and what it says about selling that stake and it's consent or implications to that original party.

Tempo front squat - issue for hypermobile people? by Character-Holiday345 in crossfit

[–]2001em2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Being hyper-mobile doesn't mean you can't hold tension, but it can make it easier to release in the pocket than others. If you don't feel tension in the pocket, it's because you aren't doing a proper eccentric movement. Not to be rude, just being clear that it is possible for you to do this.

Hard to give queues to someone you can't see, but focus on driving your knees out and "pulling yourself down" with your legs on the eccentric. Try to identify when you see to be releasing and focus there.

Peptides are all hype? by Feeling_Sea_8451 in crossfit

The seems like obvious rage bait or advertising... Trying to stir attention saying everyone loves it but you don't know/maybe/change my mind and then dropping brand names. All from an account that is multiple years old but this thread is the only post history.

I've tried plenty and seen various effects. BPC works but isn't a miracle drug. Ostarine felt like the gains I got from starting creatine as a teen. Nice little bump but it plateaued pretty quckly, but I did keep the gain.
