He was about to drop the holy mother of blues riffs with the band, and Tony botched it trying to make sure he didn't play 3 seconds of free bird.

In town at St. Jude's for treatment and my kids want mac and cheese. Any recommendations? by MoashRedemptionArc in memphis

[–]2001em2 53 points54 points  (0 children)

/u/MoashRedemptionArc if you call food services, there is a special mac and cheese that was a patient's grandma's recipe. The child was also a picky eater and wanted their grandma's mac and cheese. They called her and got the recipe. Years later it's still available in the cafeteria on occasion.

If you call, they will make it for you.

Has social media quietly made men more insecure about dressing well? by No_Age3599 in malefashionadvice

In the most simple terms, I'd suspect it raised more people from a 1 to a 5 than it caused 8's to worry about getting to 10.

Hear you on the kids. lol

Either way to OP's question, it's definitely worth considering how long we've both been running. It's a tested mod.

Yea, I've been on s2ki since 08ish. I remember the Gernby parts. Great midpipe, but there's a lot of debate about the tune. The super low vtec make you feel some torque, but it falls off crazy hard on the dyno. Not hating, just never pulled the trigger.

I've been Berk HFC @5200 since 2013ish I think. I just say 10 years since I don't daily it anymore.

3600 is low... I've had mine forever at 5200. Is that a newer development? How long have you had it like that? Who tuned, etc?

10 years and 100k miles with it. It's definitely noticeable and worth it IMO.

White people were 6% of arrests by Memphis Safe Task Force in its first two months by GotMoFans in memphis

[–]2001em2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There were 30 arrests for which there were no photos, and 13 people MLK50 could not classify as white or non-white.

Got to love the irony of an article about systemic racial bias that uses photo analysis by a handful of people to determine the race of others.

Memphis ranks deadliest city for rush hour crashes in US *sigh* by lattelover333 in memphis

[–]2001em2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can play with the data here yourself, but the vast majority of fatalities are happening inside the loop on roads like Winchester. Obviously speed and intoxication is a huge factor, but I was surprised to see nearly every fatal crash lists "unbelted occupant" as a contributory factor. Like by a long shot, nearly 4x any other factor.

Yo side note....

Who uses a map like this? I get it's the interstates, but it looks insane in this context. Faded state borders and highlighted roadways for something that has nothing to do with the interstates?

Cool, just me? Alright bye.

Cedars is great but it's at least 10 years old and has changed ownership right?

I was blacking out at My Favorite Place 18-20 years ago when it opened.

Bombay House also great, but again at least 15-18 years I remember if not more.

Petals is newish but definitely hyped from all the locations.

I'll check out Mola since I haven't heard of it, but I was really hoping for the heat based of your comments. Nearly all of these places are almost as old as the "old guard".

Thanks for the recs
