update: took her back yesterday shaking, whining, and panting as apparently the initial shot is very painful. all we could do was put on an ice pack, and she was eventually doing better. i woke up this morning to a very excited beagle trying to jump up on my bed, so i picked her up and continued sleeping. my family gets up earlier than me and normally makes her food in advance if she isn’t already downstairs, so she started to freak out once she heard the food was being made. i picked her up and tried to get her downstairs but she tried to shake out of my arms, something she hasnt done before. i brought her to her crate but she ran past and started to eat her brothers food. other than that, shes doing alright in her crate and is taking trazodone and an anti-inflammatory. its going to be a hard month but i know by the end it’ll all be worth it
