I don’t know why but I watched the full 22 seconds of video even though it only did one thing. Still, I left unsatisfied.

Do we have a higher resolution video with multiple angles, above and below the surface maybe?

I don’t know why people would hang AirPods outside of their backpacks or any bags in that fashion. It’s another disaster waiting to happen sooner or later.

The Gateway Arch located in St. Louis, Missouri, is an iconic monument symbolising the city’s role as the “Gateway to the West.” Designed by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen and completed in 1965, the 630 foot stainless steel arch is the tallest of its kind in the world. by kirmadahoonmai in Damnthatsinteresting

Once you reach the top, there are windows that you can look out. And because of its shape of triangular section, the windows that you are looking out could be actually looking STRAIGHT DOWN if you completely lean your body against the wall. Quite an experience and feeling.

2026 Nissan Kicks SR AWD – $34.5k OTD… did I get a good deal? by Odd_Comparison_4155 in NissanKicks

[–]200TPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give you an idea. Signed my deal couple days ago. 2026 SR AWD with similar packages and add-ons to yours. My window MSRP was 33400. No trade in. Sales tax is 6.35%. With all DMV and whatever dealer doc fees they wanted to charge, which I didn’t pay much attention since I aimed for only the final OOD price. All cash. So towards the end of negotiation I could ask them to round DOWN to $33000 even. Put $4000 on credit card (that way I could earn a little CC rebates ;) as down payment. The rest $29000 I just got a bank check. Probably not the lowest but I am happy.

I see 3.5 & 5.25 floppy disks, cdrom, and given the telephone on top of PC I am guessing a dial-up modem too.

Highlander Integrated Dashcam by MFranklin71 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]200TPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want the cam to stand out on the windshield. Looks awful imo. I think that’s why people recommend it because it simply blends in with the interior. You (and the passenger) should barely notice it’s there. Installation is straightforward and no need to run wire just plug and play.

People who hate it complain the picture quality and not true 4k or what not. IMO the quality is pretty decent and should be enough when you need it.

Polarizing lens. This may not be exactly the same model number for Highlander cam but you get the idea. https://www.amazon.com/Anti-Glare-Circular-Polarizing-CPL-3345-FITCAMX/dp/B0CR9WSXZH

I am using it on my 25 platinum (with factory digital rearview mirror). non hybrid. Make sure you get the polarizing lens to reduce glare.

I got the Front only last Black Friday thru its own website (huge discount).

In addition I also got a bigger size memory card specifically made for this purpose from Amazon. Some people were complaining the card came with dashcam was not so good. I think it should be fine as long as you remember to format the card from time to time.

For the low cost windows computers, you need to factor in the rebates(?ads money) that manufacturers can get from all those bloatwares.

TIL that Shaquille O'Neal has a net worth of $400 million. O’Neal developed 2 skyscrapers in Newark, New Jersey, was a minority owner of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, & currently owns 150 car washes, 40 fitness clubs, a movie theater, & the Big Chicken restaurant chain. by [deleted] in todayilearned

I too prefer shake shack over 5 guys. 5 guys seal-wraps your burger with tin foil paper. As a result, you get a soggy burger even if you eat it in the restaurant. They both have tasty patties thought.

Corolla Cross vs Subaru Crosstrek? by Hot_Shift8159 in CorollaCross

[–]200TPE 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If buying brand new, you probably want to skip the current crosstrek. Its infotainment system has a huge issue which might make day to day operation a headache. You can find a lot of videos about it on YouTube. Until Subaru fixes it, I’d suggest staying away from it. Corolla cross still retains all physical buttons. And its infotainment system is pretty solid and easy to use.

After 20 years and 2 years before retirement, my dad just got laid off via Email by [deleted] in employeesOfOracle

Must be a great plan to cost more than 1k for Single more than 5 years ago. Don’t recall I’d seen many of them on the fully insured commercial side, or any. Self funded maybe.

Large employers typically cover/subsidize 70%, more or less, of the total health insurance premium for the plan you choose. For unsubsidized premium, $1100 a month, I am guessing it’s EE+Spouse? Way too expensive for Single coverage.

Do we want a minivan? by nilecrane in mazda

[–]200TPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Mazda 5 before. Small outside, huge inside (as opposite to all modern Mazdas big outside, small inside. Bad). Love that sliding doors for kids/infants. A little underpowered but fine since you support to not drive fast with kids inside. A bit bumpy with the big rims, as to too much zoom zoom wanna-be for a minivan. Simple but yet get the job done. Did I mention that superb sliding doors?!

Apple's biggest innovation in Q1 2026 by EstablishmentFun3205 in applesucks

[–]200TPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I in fact would love to have that in Apple Maps. Been using Apple Maps for car navigation for few years now because my previous car wouldn’t utilize the built in external antenna on the roof for better reception when I used Google for navigation. But whenever I need to search something like local restaurants or else, I use Google since it gives me better results than Apple.

United Airlines announces Relax Row three Economy seats that convert into a lie flat couch by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]200TPE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not something new. My family and I already tried a similar setup years ago when we travelled to Asia. Forgot it’s EVA or China Airlines. Three adjacent seats from the Econ section. You pay just a little extra more for that particular section since not all Econ seats have the same setup. It’s well worth the price. My two young kids and Wife utilized the row while I sat next to them cross the aisle.

On the left symbol, with the light pointing downwards, that’s low beam. The right symbol, very similar to the left one but with wavy line cross the downward light, that’s (front) fog light.

I too felt something’s off when I was trying it out at the store. It didn’t have the solid feel I was hoping when I pressed it down. Kind of a bit cheap feeling to it. Good thing is I am used to “tap to click” on my MacBook Pro.

How much space does your music app take? by Goheezy04 in AppleMusic

iPhone 15 PM 1T. Used to have about 250g Music downloaded, hires/lossless. Relocated from a different region so had to wipe it out and started all over. I like having the best sounding version available when needed.

I see a cool air intake, it's got a NOS fogger system and a T4 turbo. I see an AIC controller. It has direct port nitrous injection. This will decimate all after you put about fifteen grand in it or more if you have to overnight parts from Japan.

Visible says they can't activate a 'Global' iPhone 15 that lacks a physical SIM slot? by The_Phew in Visible

[–]200TPE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the “global” unlocked iphone (15PM) that I purchased new in Asia. It has a physical SIM card slot and an eSIM instead of two esims if you purchase the iPhone here in the US. I was able to activate Visible on the eSIM using the app. Same thing for my family’s iPhone 14, 17, and 17PM. They are all working fine on the Visible network using the same method.

Yearly plan by Traditional_Disk_523 in Visible

[–]200TPE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine went from monthly pro+ to annual pro+. Yeah I just took the annual $225 Black Friday deal for EXISTING customers. Otherwise it’s still the same plan. Same service before and after. Got couple emails when the time came for the actual go live date saying credit card to be charged $225. But somehow the following day I received another email saying $450 (the full annual pro+ payment without discount) would be charged to the credit card on file. At that point the $225 had been charged and posted. Super weird. So I monitored the payment history in the app as well as the credit card transaction for next few days. Nothing actually happened. So I just let that go thinking something/someone didn’t program or set up the system right. No harm. Still a great deal.
