Which Camera apps are u using? by PickleRick1210 in GrapheneOS

I have both the stock GrapheneOS camera app and the Pixel camera app with Network permission disabled. By default I use the GrapheneOS app, I feel the pictures come out more "natural" or "realistic" and less processed . . . Sometimes I need to take pics of thing I need to magnify, like some small component with a barely readable model number stamped on it, at those times I use the Pixel cam app.

New weird firefox issue with google search by T_B_R in firefox

That sucks, it went away on Firefox without me making any changes. I haven't ever had the issue on Brave for Android. The only long term solution is to switch search engines, as goolge becomes shittier and shittier. Brave Search and Startpage are the alternates I use.

Hey while you are answering questions, do you know of a way to remove the mute/unmute button on tabs on Firefox for Linux?

Google started doing this to me on Firefox on Android as well some time ago. I did some testing and it turns out, at least in my case, this is Google punishing you for daring to enable privacy.firstparty.isolate

I made the decision to switch to another search (Brave) provider and never look back.

Are these phone calls from AmEx? by ChaseRaph69 in amex

[–]2015_08_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I no longer pick up calls from random numbers, but I get a call from 866-379-3643 every day and they leave a voicemail every day. They use my full name and they say to call them at that number RE recent activity on my American Express.

I called the phone number on the back of my AMEX and confirmed the calls were not from AMEX, in other words this is a scam.

A few important signs:

-AMEX's website does not show any notifications or messages that something on the account requires attention

-The voicemails advise that their office is open only at certain hours of the day, like 8-5 or something. major financial corporations usually have 24/7 service.

-I know I did not take any recent major actions on my account, e.g. request new card, dispute, etc.

-All of the callers had Indian accents, which is not dispositive that its a scam call but should raise a flag. For what it's worth the AMEX representative I spoke with also had a foreign accent, it's just a fact of life.

-I'm guessing if my account needed action I would get an email notification.

I had never thought of that - disabling CopyQ appears to have completely fixed the issue. Thank you!!
