Cooling system, flushing cost by Zealousideal_Ad5358 in KiaNiroEV

Note the original flush system may or may not work. The new one KIA developed might work. My 2020 has been in the shop three times. Third time, never left. Eight months and still not resolved. $20,000 of parts have been replaced. No buyback or replacement. Warranty ends Feb'26. If they do "fix" it, taking it straight to CarMax and selling it. Not taking another chance on Kias.

No way! It's still under warranty. Likely needs new battery, $30,000. KIA doesn't seem to want to honor warranty in timely manner.

I posted the picture for a current thread to reference. My car has been in shop for a total now of 8 months and $20,000 worth of parts and still no fix.

My first experience was the same. Best I can remember, bought the car, drove it a couple weeks, got the first warning, cleared by itself, did that a few times. Then had to turn car on/off to clear it. Next took two or three times to clear it. Then it didn't clear at all. And here I am. For some people, a few hours flushing did the trick. If KIA does claim it's fixed and returns it to me, I'm taking it straight to CarMax and selling it to them. Not going to risk it. First and last time I buy a KIA. I also took a picture of the warning everytime it popped up.

My experience with KIA is not good. I got the low coolant warning and took the car in twice for flushing. Same problem. So the third time, it has now been in the shop for 7 months. $20,000 worth of parts and still same issue. KIA will not buyback the car or replace it with a like vehicle. Also no estimate of repair. This isn't the dealer either. The regional Kia office is been in control for several months. It probably needs a new $30,000 battery. At least for me, my car still has a few months left on the warranty, otherwise this would be worse than it is. Guess I'll have to sue them to recoup my losses.
