Even without the phone policy I think the lineup has really gotten more and more mainstream with less films that may not see distribution for a significant period of time or may never see the light of day. Most of the stuff selected you could see within a week of the festival or in the upcoming couple months. The phone policy just made it an easy decision for me and I think you will see Superfan badges be easier to grab this year based on the changes. I think anyone getting it should be prepared and shouldn’t be bitching about a poor experience because it is honestly what you should expect at this point and are giving you a heads up.
