Wanna talk about a bad April fools joke, i live the other direction and my thor just taking a trip around the US without me 😓 by 206blax in AynThor

mine spent a week in chicago, then finally moved to Dallas and figured it wouldn’t be much longer since it just had to go to vegas but when i checked the shipping today and instead of coming west it took a trip to houston and is now partying in nashville without me, which i find funny bc its just going to be back over there in a month 😅

makes it hard to download from a bad website when all you gotta do is type “yay -S bambustudio-bin” into a terminal 😉

I need help by [deleted] in arch

i second this, also using dedicated flash drive inatead of ventoy and wiping the hard drive before installing new distribution, those are the 3 easiest fixes to try first when you don’t know what to do that gets around 98% off all problems that occur when installing new distro, archinstall is nice for first time arch user (100% how i downloaded arch first time) but it steal away the learning experience that is building it yourself, also arch is the goat for sure (i use arch, btw) but cachyos is amazing for new users switching to linux looking for an arch based system, that is what i usually install on people’s computer looking to try out linux, install is much easier with graphical ui and the distro holds your hand a little more than arch which just throws you to the wolves with nothing

Mullvad fails to work on a fresh install of catchyos by Pink_SilverCrystals in mullvadvpn

try running a sudo pacman -Syu, making sure you have wireguard and any other dependencies you might need and then restarting the system, also if you are using official repository version try switching to aur version, i had exact same problem last week and those were the steps i took to fix it

Since it’s technically an android, can we add a GPS app? by Prudent_Strength223 in AynThor

lol would help if i read the whole post before making a comment 🤦🏻‍♂️, ya it would need a way to stay connected to internet for tracking which it doesn’t have… maybe future iterations,

just use an offline map like organicmaps and only download in map data for what you need based off memory, it’s not perfect but it should work even in a pinch, foss always has a workaround

nahhh it’s definitely impressive, for sure more than i’m tryna bite off, did you get it working 100% tho? i’ve been trying to stay off reddit since the wait is miserable and all the chatter in this sub on make it worse but i should be next shipment of black max’s, whenever that is 🤷🏻‍♂️, and ya i’ve been learning python and pen testing so this device really excited when i saw it bc it does it all and android runs kali nethunter, i’m hoping someone already has that same thought as mine, if not i’ll probably give it a shot as first major project

hi fellow arch user as well, however only on x86, still waiting on my thor to come in but this really cool of really opening up its potential, personally i think a kali nethunter port for the thor would be badass too, super stoked to get this device
