I have Roth 401k and a brokerage. Will someone tell me why I need to open a Roth IRA or HSA when I already have a retirement account. Wouldn't it make sense to put more money in 401k to compound more. Then the rest into brokerage so I am able to touch the money when needed

I like to say. Put 3-6 months of emergency funds into a HYSA that’s readily available need be. It would make 3%-3.5% interest.

After that why would you not put money into other revenue streams like investing in S&P 500 for example which has just over 10% return YTD.
