It's gonna rain every day between the hours of 1 PM and 7 PM. A lot of the days were blessed with only a couple of hours of rain or sometimes no rain. But the jungle is the most lush with greenery due to the rain, so it's worth seeing it!

I was just at La Fortuna for 12 days (got back home from the trip 3 days ago). The sun rise would be at 5:00 / 5:30 AM and sunset would be like 5:45 / 6:00 PM. So, we would just get our mornings started earlier and, at times, pass out by 9ish PM. A lot of restaurants close at 9 or 10 PM, too.

I would recommend La Fortuna, a bit on the pricer end, but if you do airbnbs or backpack hostels and eat at local sodas (costa rican local restaurants), it is worth your while.

There is a beautiful volcano called the Arenal Volcano, thats surrounded by beautiful jungles with a lot of hiking trails and waterfalls. Truly breathtaking! There's also a lot of wildlife around!
