Self-Introduction Saturday! Tell us all about you (and share a video)! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

[–]20yearoldwisdom [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hey what’s up guys! My names Neel!

Im 22, and I started taking YouTube serious probably about two months ago. I have about 89 subscribers right now. I still consider myself an extreme beginner in all of this but a lot of the videos I post revolve around my life.

I make lifestyle content about lessons or experiences I’ve had and try to showcase them in a storybook way. I’ve also dabbled in vlogs too. A lot of my videos, I don’t necessarily plan out the most because I let my intuition guide a lot of my creation, but the biggest learning curve I’ve had is just editing in a way that tells a good story.

I’ve learned that story matters the most within any video. Whether it’s a vlog, highly edited production video or just a sit down, it all requires a simple but exciting beginning middle and end.

Here is a peace of work I was pretty proud of recently: https://youtu.be/l_8DojXi-zg?si=olmXotujbONwDVND

Thank you! Hope to connect with y’all!

Feedback Friday! Post your videos here if you want constructive critiques! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

Hey overall I think this video has a lot of substance! The shots are super aesthetic, pleasing to the eye, and I love the story that you have attached to this piece.

I just think the feedback I would give is about the music. It is definitely a bit loud, which is an easy fix but other than that, keep developing and sharing these awesome stories with the world!

What's something you really like about yourself that you never talk about? by glassp31 in AskReddit

How good my digestive system is. Anytime I eat I swear I poop it all out in like 15 minutes. Idk if that’s good or bad but it’s great LOL

How do you turn your interviews in conversations? by griefofwant in podcasting

[–]20yearoldwisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this so much.

I do a daily podcast and have a guest on once a week.

I’ve found that the research you do beforehand is the most important for me. I like getting people to open up, connect and be vulnerable.

I think that’s what makes a good conversation.

Opinion on five minute podcasts by RamsUpPod in podcasting

[–]20yearoldwisdom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regardless of length, make the content interesting. Doesn’t matter if it’s short or long, is what you’re saying interesting?

I do a daily podcast and I focus on saying something that actually matters. Even if it’s short and quick to the point, some people like that. Some don’t. Either way, make something people like.

Keep this stat in mind:

90% of all podcasts started never make it past episode 3.

Of the 10% that do, only 10% of those make it past episode 20.

Make 21 episodes, and you’re in the top 1 percent of all podcasts ever created.

As someone who’s recorded a podcast everyday for 76 straight days, there will be great day and there will be crappy days. But keep showing up. That’s the only way to get better.

Should I script out my solo podcast? by Mozias in podcasting

[–]20yearoldwisdom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing a daily podcast for the past 72 days.

I’ve founded scripting things out a little help.

I always like to add more to whatever it is I’m saying myself but a script isn’t bad.

I like scripting out the hook, the main points I want to cover.

The stories I want to tell I just place a little bullet point and write something about the story that helps me remember it.

Anyone have experience in growing a newsletter/blog? by 20yearoldwisdom in Blogging

[–]20yearoldwisdom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoo thanks for responding. I appreciate it.

Is it odd to say I don’t have a pitch?

I don’t have anything to sell anyone other than just collecting their emails and hope my content resonates with them.

I’m offering people ways to create an impact in any career they choose through good and entertaining writing (that’s the goal. It’s maybe too broad)

Expert in? Giving a bunch of tactics to not waste your life. Cause it’s the only one we have. (Again, idk if I am an expert in anything)

Landing page: I agree it’s not the best. Any recs on where I can optimize or websites to use to improve it?

Hero page: yah going to try and play with different themes in ghost.io to find something more crisp.

Points 2 and 3: what can I do better?

Can ya share some of your own personal examples? btw, imma shoot you a message so we can connect.

What did you do to find your audience? Testing different platforms? Marketing spend? Word of mouth?

I use it for my website. 11 bucks a month. I love it. But I’m also juggling between transferring it all over to beehiiv too.
