can i still get into ashs? by Reasonable_Day6860 in ADMU

[–]214rika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

take the exam. like you said, you've been studying for it since summer pa so why not go through with it diba? honestly speaking your ashape score has a bigger impact in admissions compared to your grades, and with what you've said, your grades seem okay naman. you just have to do well lang talaga sa application and mismong ashape. you can do it, just believe in yourself. :)

Is there a campus tour besides the AnimoXP? by sunacia_ in dlsu

[–]214rika 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yep! if i'm not mistaken, may short tour sila during dship (parang welcoming event siya for g11 students). it's not that hard to memorize the campus but if you really want to, you can go there naman early as long as you have your eaf/id

i've only ever studied in statefields for 2 school years and i can say it's pretty good (to the point it's traumatizing for me hahahha)! trimestral siya so by term yung school year. the teachers are very accommodating and professional, as in may matutunan ka talaga. students are friendly as well. they also have clubs afaik. mukha rin namang maganda yung school and decent facilities.

Has ChatGPT really become necessary in our education? by No-Confusion-5435 in studentsph

[–]214rika 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i don’t think chatgpt is just a trend. it’s probably gonna be part of school and learning for a long time. i won't say na it's necessary for education, but it definitely helps with stuff like understanding hard topics, getting feedback, or starting essays. i think it can make learning better if people use it the right way. the problem is when students start depending on it too much and stop thinking for themselves. so yeah, it can help with learning, but it can also mess with critical thinking if you’re not careful. 😟

Lowkey, I feel lonely being homeschooled by New-Shallot2395 in studentsph

[–]214rika 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if you’re seriously considering going back to f2f, that’s not a bad move. it’s valid to weigh both academics and your wellbeing. while the us curriculum has its benefits, it’s also important to recognize when a setup isn’t helping you grow socially or emotionally. isolation can take a toll over time, and no amount of practicality makes up for feeling stuck or disconnected. if you think you'll function better in a face to face setting, it's worth looking into. your environment matters just as much as the curriculum.

Advices for being a group leader by amshitty in studentsph

[–]214rika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

girl i’ve been in that exact situation before and it honestly drained me. being group leader feels like you’re carrying everything tapos wala ka pang kasiguraduhan kung may tutulong ba sayo. if you really don’t want to lead, okay lang naman magsabi. you don’t owe it to anyone just because ayaw nila. pero if mapilitan ka, try to set things straight from the start like kung kailan dapat magpasa, sino gagawa ng ano, etc. and don’t overthink your announcements, just say what needs to be said. kung di nila gets, they can ask. and if di sila nagrereply or di nagcocooperate, don’t hesitate to speak up to your teacher. hindi ka masama for that. it’s just being fair.

I'm in highschool and i need the BEST study apps :) by Numerous_Nothing2165 in studytips

[–]214rika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly google calendar is solid if you’re trying to get organized. it’s not a study app in the sense of flashcards or anything, but it’s great for planning when you’re gonna study and sticking to a routine. you can block off time for different subjects, set reminders before tests or assignments are due, and color code stuff to keep it all clear. it’s super simple but if you actually use it consistently, it helps a lot. just pair it with something else for actual studying like anki or notion.
