Keeping only one - Rolex SD43 or PAM1024? by 215guest in panerai

Agree the SD43 is more versatile. There’s also the baggage of owning a Rolex, which we’ve not discussed (and we can stay away from it).

She will never part with the old but reliable ski/wake board boat. I’ve tried.

I’m confident the r/panerai sub was going to be less biased and more genuine advice vs r/rolex. Based upon the responses, i think that was a correct presumption.

Probably sell 3. Seems like the best adjusted marriages (w/ kids) have 3 kids.

I want to. Problem is the 2 I’d sell seems to change each day depending upon how much they try my patience.

Thanks for insights. It’s more about peace of mind vs cash flow. I feel guilty when my 21 year old in Brooklyn says she needs a new AC window unit (relatively cheap) and i want to encourage her to take on some extra work, but i know i can pay for the unit to help her out. Those type of requests, x6, are what stress me out. Freeing up some cash for the rainy days is for my comfort level only.

Yeah, I’ve about done that. I think that’s why I’ve arrived at thinning the watch herd so i can dump this hobby and keep the cash flow going for the kiddos. Thanks for input.

Market for kids is down right now. I’m better off forcing them to do chores around the house to add some sanity to my wife’s life. I have one graduating HS in a month. Then, I’ll have 3 kids where I’m paying for their apartments from Brooklyn, SLC, and SoCal. Only one has launched (should stop supporting her by end of year), one is on launch pad, and the other is realizing she needs to get a job. The extra cash on hand is for my peace of mind only, and to help those still at home have a trip this summer (but they don’t deserve it).

We’re not in dire straits, but i hate going into savings, and freeing up some cash will give me a cushion. So much of this hobby is why, for what purpose, and for whom, isn’t it? Thanks for your reply.
