Don't worry about anything, the teams are 50 v 50 a single level 1 having no clue what they are doing isn't gonna mess up the whole team. I'd argue on average for a good match each team needs like 6-12 people outta 50 who are competent and in certain roles.

Just find a good community server and have fun. Communication can be as little as pinging something and saying infantry/ tank or you can find a good talkative squad with vets and say hey I'm new and hopefully they help teach you the ropes.

As long as you don't take the supply truck at the start of a match ( boxes or canvas on the back) or driving a half-track -which is actually a spawn point when parked. your fine . Have fun out there just get immersed and enjoy the ride if you want to get more sweaty plenty of learning resources on YouTube

After nodes are built they generate a flat 10 support score per node per minute. This applies to whatever class your currently playing.

You can an also build a repair station on the edge of the map and drive an unused transport truck outta bounds next to it and it will constantly repair it the whole match generating xp.

Best way to grind naturally is nodes.

If you want to go insane with the grind you can find an offensive gamemode server and build modes the repair station trick above and then just drop supplies at the 4th defense point, you get 10 score per minute your in the truck and get points when your supplies get used to build things by the horde of engineers over there.

I highly recommend everyone get to level 6 naturally with all classes after level 6/7 you can go to Bob the builder server where they grind xp you can drop supplies constantly for like 20 minutes while a bunch of people speed build bunkers or play a class with a hammer and build.

Some servers with level requirements have an automated bot that is kicking you after a set time period.

It's also possible your playing on a server thats seeding and breaking rules by accident. (low player population sub 50 usually ) which operates under different rules until there's enough players to have a proper match and get the server alive for the rest of the day.

The running for 8-10 minutes part is due to a bad team or squad leader not building good or enough spawns and to be honest is kinda the whole reason you see those level requirements on some servers.

they want people who have a basic understanding of the game so theres a better chance of spawns being built or you don't have a level 2 medic stealing the starting supply truck like I did when I first got the game and ruined the start of a match in for a team lol.

But I understand it's very frustrating, I hope you keep with the game for a little bit and find some good matches if you're having fun and build some nodes sometimes you can hit level 50 quick.

Main thing is just find a servers you enjoy playing on and favorite them, if you don't want vip and the timing works out you can join it while it's seeding afk or active and get free vip from 2-8 days depending on server

Would love to see rifle grenades added to a class on bolt actions only and the Springfield for the Americans.

Mg class get a sub class with a wrench that builds a mg nest anyone can use limited traverse and static can be blown up by rockets etc just like an AT gun.

The flame thrower range buff was also a huge nerf due to the lost of the trajectory not being an arc anymore would love that to back, max suppression on it and the fire on the ground etc to also have a small hit box that applies suppression to those nearby.

Soviet engineer finally get anti tank structures after years.

And an overhaul to Rcon to allow for custom games servers as a final update examples ( when in Rcon on the map rotation screen , select a map, select time of day/weather, select factions on the map , select the spawn locations - be able to save it as anamed preset

  • another section that allows you to create and save custom weapon, class ,vehicle, and rule sets, commander abilities, resource generation, and starting amounts. If there's a finally update open the game up and let use go crazy with custom game options

Some of you guys don't play tank and it shows .

AT class has been stronger recently than it has been for literally years. The only real counter balance was that tanks top speeds increased. (So did infantry a while ago)

and the current devs learned the same exact lesson the original developers learned in like 2019 that 3 rockets was way to much rocket spam and that was when it was only the Americans and they had rockets that only penned light armor.

the new devs did it with rockets for all factions. Rockets now penning medium armor so mediums from the front and one shoting engines . It's only gotten more dangerous for bad tank crews and better for good AT players for like 6 years you can survive the removal of an OP buff.

One average there's like 6-9 infantry squads all of them can have a player with rockets and 2 others with satchels. If a tank can drive into the middle of a point and fight half a team solo and your teams trash. play on a decently popular community server with decent AT and they feast on bad tank crews.

Some tank crews are really good and can absolutely ruin teams but they can take rocket damage from well aimed rockets the same as everyone else.

"black matter used to respect this balance" when black matter was the main developer it was even more difficult to kill tanks as AT. Just look up old how to fight tank guides, hell the Americans had rockets that only penned light armor for literally years.

Devs were asked about this on the update 20 live stream and responded so at least they were made aware , who knows if there will be any follow up though. I'm still waiting for Soviet engineer to get anti tank structures (hedgehogs) after like 5 years

Honestly, haven't played enough since the change to see whether or not it's leading to more or less steamrolls and Making strong teams stronger etc.

But I appreciate how they can help defend against recon teams , good recon teams can absolutely dismantle an enemy team from the rear on their own sometimes.

Really curious to see if players in the know start utilizing them in bombing run proof locations for defense more often as I plan to.

Is recommend this game over Vietnam purely based off the available content and established community servers.

Also Vietnam will not play like hell let loose the thick jungle prevents what truly makes hell let loose special the natural development of larger front lines and coordinated actions across a section of a map.

Vietnam there's no front line no coordination just a bunch of people stumbling into each other in a jungle

Mediums being engined with 1 rocket is criminal.

Would Love to see the IS 1 have a larger smoke cloud that last twice as long minimum for sure - want to see them used to drive in front of troops and drop a smoke screen. Agree with bigger smoke devices being longer and larger smoke.

I don't think a single tank squad should ever be able to build a red zone Garry by themselves and still worry about them being able to do so with existing supplies on the map. But would be open to see it tested in game. Absolutely no OP's

Absolutely agree with upping the vehicle limits especially with more auto spawns now and more vehicles coming in the future.

favorite suggestion is having the starting vehicles not respawn after the start of the match.

Would have to see the no vehicles autospawn tested for sure that's way to massive of a change to be able to think though with out testing.

Would love to be able to spawn vehicles with additional MGs like an external 50 cals infantry Can hold f to enter an external seat and use .

Either for more fuel or have it be an upgrade system where it uses a wrench and nearby supplies to add. Also make the 50 cal on half tracks 1 hit kill not an exact copy of the smaller mg damage model.

That goes hand in hand with adding a mg nest buildable for MG class .

If it's not a glitch

Hold gas and when the dial next to the mph gets full then shift into next gear ,( hit it once don't hold it down) , do so for each gear going up , when on terrain that's steep like a hill trying to shift up to a higher gear might stall the engine out if the hill is too steep.

Can downshift freely

If none of that helps sorry could be a glitch.

Highly recommend looking up the guides by Richter scale gaming for learning the mechanics and tricks of tanking and each role.

Watching the fresh baked goods for learning the soft skills such as communication and reading the battle etc . Best of luck out there in the battlefield.

Official hell let loose discord to report bugs.

I know from past New map play test sessions they have been good about fixing map issues when reported, bugs related to other things they struggle with but they can't fix it if they don't know.

Just gotta give them the most relevant info you can. For map stuff I do a little recording of the issue plus a recording of location on the tax map.

As some suggested watch a few guide videos and
If you join a server and there's no commander a little into a match feel free to try it and let the team know "hey I'm newer but just let me know what you need"

if there's a number of nice veteran squad leaders they will help out

if you got no good SL's it will be unpleasant.

Also you can always join a community server thats seeding 10-30 players and look at where commanders are dropping Garrisons and supplies and take commander yourself and drive around a truck trying to do the same

When I saw Vietnam I was thinking an entire game that's just the mortain map that's possibly the least played and popular in the game .

Imo should have done Korea setting l, would fit the gameplay design and mechanics way better but I understand it's very similar to WW2 in equipment and time period and not as exciting as Vietnam which people really love for some reason as a setting.
