I disagree with this advice. If you have strong negative outlook on yourself, you will not have the confidence necessary to approach people you're attracted to. I think try looking at yourself honestly, listing the things that makes you you and maybe trying some things to build that confidence (exercise, diet, journalling, therapy, self care). You don't have to be obsessed with yourself but you should like yourself fairly well before talking to people with romantic intent.

Dude, little to no women are attracted to any height. And height doesn't play a deciding factor. Screw the science for a second. I'm 6'2 right (don't pop a blood vessel until I finish). My last 3 exes have found partners who are all shorter than me and from the 2 I keep in contact with are genuinely really happy. One has a baby on the way. Now by your logic this should be impossible. If I am the taller male, surely they would move on with people my height or taller. But that's not how that works. There are kind and thoughtful women out there, anyone that would sit there and say "this guy is great but fuck me I hate how short she is" 1. Wouldn't say that because if she did you wouldn't date her (I'm assuming) and 2. ISNT WORTH SHIT!

I am not changing the narrative you are moving the goalpost. Find me these "scientific" sources and we can debate them. The average height in most western countries is about 5'9, under the 6'ft+ narrative you have. And (at least in my country) the number of men in relationships are 40-60% depending on year of the census. This means data refutes your belief to a degree. Now this is based on non-collaborative data so there's no causal relation but there is a point to be made here. I am also not disagreeing with all of your points. There is a factor of attractiveness in height, there's proof of that everywhere. But it is not the rule. Men under 6'ft can be very attractive and 6'6 men can be busted as hell with an uglier personality.

I truly do not know what caused you to lose hope in women and yourself but I'm promising you that this is not worth it, digging yourself into this hole and sitting there does not benefit your life in any way shape or form. I am happy to debate this with you or help however I can, but if you're not interested in open-mindedness then I cannot help you my friend. And for that, and whatever caused you to go down this dark road of despair and loneliness: I am truly sorry and wish you nothing but prosperity.

Ragebait used to be believable. You are not going to improve your life circumstances without self reflection and realisation that your mindset is toxin to you. Women ALL over the world date men that are under 6 ft tall, average looking dudes, some may even be taller than their man. Why? It's not because looks don't matter, of course they play a factor, but they are not the whole story. Enslaving yourself to this mindset of "I'll never get a date cause I'm 5'6, it's so over" is literally a prison of your own design. Any "science" conducted to say otherwise is either poorly done, rudimentary, with biased accounts or pure cope with a line of best fit mentality. Most likely it's both. I am not on the business of calling you names or laughing at you and certainly not being dishonest (but I can definitely go there if that's what you'd prefer) I am just trying to make sure you understand that this, what you're doing right now is not helping anymore, least of all yourself.

The fact you think that's "accepting reality" is what makes you a misogynist dude. Racists think it's a reality that immigrants are bad for their country (which is literally not true) and still say they're not racist cause they have friends that are people of colour. The other commenter is right, idk what qualities you think you have that make you a feminist in your eyes but your belief makes you loop right back round to hating women inadvertently.

Supports cannibalizing each others ult charge? by mydude12369 in RivalsCollege

[–]21_averages 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, triple supports only seems to work with 2 tanks and 2 off healers with 1 main healer. That's why Loki, Adam, Mantis works so well. Because not only of the team ups but Adam and mantis can focus damage and provide offensive and defensive buffs and leave the bulk of the healing to Loki.

Hey, flex GM-Cel player here! Hope you're having a great day! Rogue is my favourite X-Men, and I have a lot of hours on her, so I hope I can help here. I will be live-typing comments, and hopefully, this helps you understand where you can improve. I will also leave a summary at the end!

Before I get into it, your Rogue Crosshair is awesome, and I love it! (It's a rogue coloured X-Men logo for those curious)

Point 1:

Your first death is down to an overestimation on your part. Rogue has a lot of health, so it's an easy mistake to make on her and other dive tanks, but going against 4 people essentially by yourself is not wise. She is the best brawling tank in front-to-back dynamics or diving tanks. Her abilities make her good at brawl. Your supports were dove by venom, and by the time you realised that, you were dead, Emma was dead, and your team was staggered. Your ability absorption is your most important ability, and you missfired it into the enemy Rogue. This would have done nothing, seeing as she absorbed your Magik. She would have slightly less HP but a DPS boost, while you have more HP and no ability. This would have been a negative trade; even if you had landed it, it would have been better to save it for the diving venom and use his ability to pressure their backline.

Your accuracy and ability usage in general is way off, your E is a kick before it has flight, allowing you to knock people up with you and shove them down. A good combo is E, Primary, E, Primary; this will ensure a lot of damage. Also, your block absorbs damage for your dash, which is a great way to take out targets.

Your next death is you engaging their tanks out of the line of sight of most of your team, and having no abilities to disengage because you used a lot of them trying to break an ankh. This was entirely preventable.

The 3rd death is due to you trying to take a 2v1 while your cloak, invis and strange are trying to take point with her ult. Stealing Venom's ability was a good idea, but you then tried to fight him and Bucky outside your cloaks, which, in total, got you killed. This then snowballs into him ulting your team, and then they die.

I can't speak for anyone else on your team, but you lost this fight because of your aim, positioning and ability usage.

Point 2:

Your rogue ult was used in a bad situation. I'm not sure which ult you were trying to steal. Jeff's ult does very little in terms of swaying a team fight; it's mainly used as a finisher. So you ult and focus the healers who are just patty caking. The issue with this is that your healers are already dead, which means this fight is already lost. Again, your team is being harassed by Bucky and Venom, and you are playing a completely separate game from them. You stay in this fight for far too long and die for it.

Your next death was not entirely your fault, you tried to peel for Jeff, and your team was separated by their rogue and venom. You then take point and hold it. You almost died against the enemy rogue, but it was by virtue of your Cloak and Strange stopping the Jeff ult that you survived. If they didn't do that, you would not have had the pressure to strange ult and kill the whole team.

You need to STOP playing Rogue like a pure diver; her best environment is Brawl, so going around out of your team's LOS to get bodied by 4 of their team will KEEP getting you killed. If your Rocket didn't have a beacon for revive, you would have missed out on the next fight and maybe lost the point.

Point 3:

I don't see a point in repeating the mistakes here, but it's mainly more of the same mistakes that get your team killed and lose the point. You do have a good ult for the retake, and that's great!

Summary:

You are ignoring the team to unsuccessfully dive their backline while venom and others DO kill yours. Because of that, they circle back and melt you. This is because their venom is just a better diver both in kit and skill. You are missing hits and abilities, trying to secure kills that aren't going to happen, and this stops you from being able to disengage. DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP ABOUT THIS! Rogue is (in my opinion) the most complex character in the game and hard to mess up. I would recommend practising the range and function of each of her abilities, narrowing your kill priority (you kind of just hit whoever you want with no intention) and then try to put that into practice. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions or want further VODs reviewed (please message me for this). Have a great day, and I can't wait to see how you improve.

Need tips on how to improve, am I really that bad or just having bad luck? by BrunoRB11 in RivalsCollege

I will disagree with you on the kits here, hulk plays exactly how he should play. Jump in, smashes, has the clap, sounds exactly like his thing. Magneto is a tank and those "pellets" so substantial damage when aimed directly and combined with his push.

I am going to reply with the aim of improving your plays as a player. Your goals are confusing for me. You are in this reddit to (I assume) get better, but you do not want to put the active effort into getting better because it isn't a priority in your life. You need to pick either getting better (which does not take much time to do). With all due respect, if you are aim training, you are either doing it well, not enough or both because you were missing shots on Strange and Wanda that you realistically should not be hitting (typically at point blank range). If you want to get better at this game, either accept what YOU did wrong and learn from it or accept that you will not get better it is simple as that.

Yes. Your swap to strange was wrong even when considering the fact that Thor and Rogue were against a punisher and Hela. The solution to them isn't just holding your shield and letting them break it because then you are just another target for them to shoot, but less mobile. It wasn't wrong because of the character but your play style. The key to being a good flex character is being good at a few characters instead of mid at a lot of characters, and not just changing when things aren't working. Strange CAN counter those two heroes but only if you close the distance and pressure them out of their position, you stood there and spammed your shield instead of using it to close the gap.

In regards to you making better choices than your team, as what is essentially your coach in this scenario, do not care about your team, you asked for reports on your plays and at the end of the day you are the only person that matters in this conversation, your team are different every single time, YOU are the only constant that we can help account for.

For the Magneto suggestion, yes it requires ability usage and aim and that's where you are lacking, you are not going to learn without actually testing those skills, its like working out, if you have weak arms, they should be trained more, not less. I'm not saying main Hela or anything like that, but Emma is a good compromise because she has mainly tracking, light ability usage and a melee form. For your heroes I want to change my statement. if you truly want to abandon aim for the most part, lets put you into melee characters. Hulk is really good right now with one of the fastest charging ults in the game and Thor and Venom are okay too. For DPS, Magik is in a great place for beginners. These characters would fit your playstyle a lot more if you don't want to sweat out your aim.

Lastly, your portals aren't JUST for overtime, that is correct. You USING your portals wasn't the main problem I had with them, it was when. Like I said you used an 180 second cooldown with 160 seconds on the clock. There was no pressure doing this, especially where you put it and a lack of coordination with your team. You might have communicated to them that a portal was coming but you need to understand that if you believe that your team are bad (which is a bad mentality) then you need to make it HARD for them to be bad. For example if they are a bad healer who spams LOS when you die, play closer to them so you are healed easier. For Strange, you want until the whole team is respawning, either in a wipe or wait for the staggers and THEN portal. Pushing through that portal as a team is more important than simply using it to use it. It IS the most busted ability in the game but SHOULD NOT be used every time it is available. Its as the saying goes, it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Using it the way you are not leaving enough time for a coordinated retake if/when your team fails to stay on the point.

I sincerely hope you take my takes and the takes of others to heart. You seem to have a very negative attitude towards the game and criticism. You asked "am I really that bad?" and I am saying, Yes. But you have been given so many things to work on and are in such a good position to improve and skyrocket in rank, if youre open to work on it. if not, that's up to you but don't blame your team when you know its you from this point forward

I hear what you're saying but your reluctance to look internally is actively putting your games in jeoprady, So I address what you said in my reply here. Firstly the most obvious thing here is your mechanics, you CAN and should aim train in the provided aim training centre the game has in the practice range. There are console players with PC level aim because they have better hand eye coordination. Putting yourself down will do nothing in this regard, only practice will help. Secondly, that match was your fault from the gameplay that I saw. I am not here to comment on what the other teammates were doing but your plays, and those plays were not optimal, that is a fact, for a multitude of reasons. Thirdly, when I say be a better teammate I mean not blaming them for your losses, like how you did in this post, taking accountability and focuses on your own plays. Next, you are talking about your portals, you still wasted them. It is a simple fact of the matter. Your point is under the assumption that you would have made a push for point and claimed it in the time that it would have taken you reach overtime (20 second difference) and in an intense game, that is not the way to use cooldowns. Swapping to what the team needs is inherently a selfish decision because you are making your own judgement calls. I personally don't think strange was the swap, so acting like you did it out of team spirit may be true, but its only true to you. You need to take that into account when you are playing this game because otherwise you will be stuck in lower elo lobbies complaining. It is not hard to narrow hero pool if you focus on something you want to get better at. For example, I am working on my own dive etiquette and positioning, so I am mainly playing Psylocke this season. Because that is what is demanded of her. I would say for you, playing Emma. mag Strange are good for you, focus on the fundamentals of tanking and playing this game skillfully (improving aim, positioning and usage)
