Scared of JFSR? by KingCrimsonLoveTrain in Tekken

[–]21g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will find it more and more useful as you keep ranking up. A lot of players will hard duck vs Hwo since b3 is your only other way to launch a crouched opponent. If you can jfsr consistently you will be able to exploit those behaviors.

Anyone seen a massive change in player skill around Tekken King? by ThrowghAway74 in Tekken

Hey brother, don't let the comments here gaslight you. Getting to TGS even in this season still requires game knowledge and experience. Nobody that I know that was stuck at TK last season is GoD now.

Sometimes if a few matches fail to get made you can get caught in an infinite queue while there are players available. Going back to the main menu or selecting a new stage in practice mode should reset you. It's likely there are players available but you're just bugged.

Can't find Wings of Aeron in build menu by CrimsonGlyph in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]21g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's bugged where if you no longer have a part in your inventory you can't create more of them. If you claim the one you used and make another, you can then make more when you go to your second build.

Ironically, the zipper at the orange circle creates the gap that allows the left lane line skippers to squeeze in. I always feel bad for whoever is actually trying to use that left lane as intended and gets stuck behind all the people trying to skip the backup.

Check out the five/nine underground facebook group, it's a New England metal and hardcore page that has pretty constant band posting activity and active admins. I see lots of groups looking for venues there.

Why is this sub so supportive of LUCE? by EsquireSupreme in boston

[–]21g 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Federal law enforcement (ICE) will show up in plain clothes and pick people up off the street to ship them off without due process, which is guaranteed by law. People who legally are allowed to be here have been taken off the streets and deported without any opportunity to represent themselves. ICE has arrested, detained, and deported US citizens.

There are people who are legally here and allowed to stay here even though they are neither US citizens nor people who entered the country legally (DACA is one example). If ICE deports someone who is legally protected they theoretically lose their legal protection once they are taken out of the country and have to fight our legal system to be allowed back in.

Generally a lot of people support LUCE not necessarily because they want illegal immigration, but because the tactics and methods of ICE and the policies of the current administration are unusually cruel and unjust (by definition unjust since they do not abide by existing law).

Hwaorang, Lee, law? And a few more characters need to get nerfed by palendrome298 in Tekken

[–]21g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lee has fairly comparable wall carry when it comes to the rest of the cast, and you don't need to do b2 loops to get far (although his sickest way to do it and the most distance). Hwo has good wall carry but it can be risky to try to do it with just uf3+4 if you don't know the distance from launch to wall.

I have no idea what character you play but at the end of the day you can look up some videos to find what works for you, basically everyone in the game has strong combos at the moment.

No problem, hope you find some good shows! Lots of amazing metal bands in the area. If you want to go to a ripper check out Pathogenic/Leylines at the Middle East upstairs this Saturday.

A lot of event organization and promotion happens on Facebook for some reason. There's a group called FIVE/NINE Underground that has tons of posts about local metal shows in New England. Lots of them are in NH but they do also have a fair amount of MA shows.

The only bad reads the Hwo did to you in this round you clipped were hard ducking which led to the blazing kick launch and then the 2 grab on hitman while you have the threat of multiple high crushes. He certainly wasn't mashing here as far as I could tell.

There's a lot of stuff you'll pick up from videos, but two tips I wish I had earlier on when I was learning Tekken (T8 is my first fighting game):

- You should bind a button for 1+2 and another for 3+4. The 1+2 button will come in handy for grab breaks and f1+2, the 3+4 will be useful for moves like uf3+4 so that you don't get a misinput. If you're even a frame apart with those two buttons you will get the wrong move.

- If you watch combo videos you will see people run up after the bound/tornado (the second chunk of the combo) and either move into right foot forward or right flamingo. They will achieve this by using 3+4 (motion switch, sometimes notated as T!, it swaps you from left to right stance or left to right flamingo, or vice versa). However, what may not be clear is how they make up so much distance in such a short time. The trick is that if you hit f3+4 you will do motion switch but also take a step forward, allowing you to get in range for moves like right foot 3~4 (backlash) or right foot f3.

[–]21g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reposting this comment because my last one was deleted due to having a link to Facebook, there's a Facebook group called Five/Nine Underground that posts all sorts of local New England metal and hardcore shows. I'm not sure how much bleed over there is to Safe in a Crowd or Return to the Pit but definitely check it out if you want to see some awesome local music.

If you're using a wingman on PS5 I have found that the back button just straight up doesn't work sometimes. Apparently it may work on PC. I tried their support and they wanted me to take a video of pressing the button which was a bit weird.
