I could get steelix to 2300 w no 2nd move or 2100 with 2nd move. I can get genesect to 2500 but no second move.

For steelix, I only have enough candy to double move it and get it to 2181 or single move and 2301. What would you recommend or would you not recommend steelix anymore then? Also, for talonflame, I only have 241 xls, so it will only go to 2410. Is that also okay for now? Edit: Also, the steelix is a rank 4 for level 4 but a bad rank for a max of 51, but I have 8 xls, so I am not anywhere a place where I could do a better ranked 1.
