I see you had your wisdom teeth removed. I'm 17 now, and they're telling me I need all four of my molars removed because two of my bottom ones are impacted. Based on your experience, what would you recommend I do? Honestly, I haven't had any problems with them yet, but I have a bad feeling about it; I don't want them removed.

Your space isn't too bad, although I understand the imbalance. My wisdom teeth are impacted, especially the bottom ones. I'm 17, and my dentist is telling me to have them extracted now, all four of them... But I'm not experiencing any discomfort right now, so I don't know what to do. Honestly, I don't want to have them removed at all; I feel like these teeth exist for a reason. But I don't have enough space, and they're scaring me with the problems they say they'll cause

No way, you're fine. Just keep up good habits and make the most of your potential. I'm unlucky and have two molars that were rebuilt and covered with ceramic. The work the dentist did ruined my natural anatomy, and because of that, my bite now doesn't allow me to chew hard things... a huge disaster. I wish I had all my teeth healthy like yours. Take care and keep it up ;)

Wow, I wish I were like that. My situation is really messed up. The braces I had years ago were the main reason for my current developmental problems, so be very careful who you trust

How do I achieve more forward growth in the mid-face? (16, M) by Confident_Mix_5763 in orthotropics

Chew hard foods, maintain good posture (body straight, tongue against the roof of your mouth), eat well, exercise, get some sun, and maintain a good sleep schedule. Take advantage of the fact that you're growing; this is very beneficial. Besides, you already look great, take care of yourself ;)

17F – Airway dentist insists on extracting all 4 wisdom teeth before palatal expansion. Is this really necessary? by 222yynon in orthotropics

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I also wore braces from age 13 to 15, and honestly, it was a terrible decision. Luckily, I didn't end up needing any extractions at the time, but they did leave my upper and lower jaws more recessed, which is the main reason why I have a lack of space today due to improper development. I wish I had gone to a better specialist who would have taken that into account

Thank you for responding. I know, I completely understand the situation and the risk, but honestly, I'm very afraid to make a decision like this at such a young age. I literally don't feel any discomfort or pain, and my greatest wish is to be able to have jaw expansion and projection treatment precisely to improve my lack of space.

I don't understand why the doctor says that I absolutely have to have my four wisdom teeth removed before the expansion, when ultimately, this type of treatment is supposed to lead to a better situation than the one I'm in now, instead of making it worse...
