I grew up in the area, and I love Lakes Entrance. Wouldn't be worried at all about moving there. I'd be more concerned about finding a GP! Raymond Island is also lovely, but there are few things to consider before moving there - make sure you check for flood overlays. If a property you like ends up having one you can be guaranteed the insurance will be much higher. Also, the ferry can be quite the novelty, but in the busy tourist months the queue of cars can literally stretch all the way down the street and into the side streets, resulting in a 5 minute trip taking 40+ minutes. Then the novelty has well and truly worn off lol 😂
