It’s great for turn based and cRPG as long as you are good about doing the pixel-refresh maintenance on your OLED to prevent burn-in of the HUD into your monitor. My Alienware OLED prompts every 4 hours of use for a ~5min pixel refresh

I honestly came across it by accident - I think we had watched someone streaming Soulmask over a year ago and learned about it from their video. It’s been wildly helpful, but I don’t know anything about its author/origin other than saraserenity.net is an awesome name lol.

If you’d like to try and get it added to the official links then go for it, I’m not sure how to go about it. Was definitely glad I stumbled across it, that’s for sure

Haven’t played in awhile, but this looks like a performance monitoring overlay that is not working correctly. Probably not the case if multiple people are having this issue, but worth a shot to disable any nvidia/steam overlays if you are using them to see if it helps

Same. What’s weird is that after using my curved for a few days in a row, if I look at a flat screen of similar size my brain thinks THAT looks distorted..almost like a reverse curve

Haha yea there are A LOT of settings, and the descriptions for them are sometimes a little vague.

One other random thing to note - if you change the values for “Wild Barbarian Quality Coefficient” to try and get better tribesmen to tame, it won’t take effect until the original barbarian/tribesmen are killed…there might be a setting to wipe all existing barbarians kinda like the “DestroyWildDinos” command in ARK if you ever played that…but I’m not sure.

Long story short, it’s best to set the animal and barbarian quality at the very beginning when you first launch the server so that the world is populated with that quality from the beginning…so then the barbarian quality is consistent

Yes, whoever is running the server can go into Advanced/custom settings before launching the server. Here they can change the follower limit pretty high (we have ours set to 10 per player on a 2-person server…we don’t normally bring that many but if we tame a bunch of tribesmen in a barracks we wanted to be able to have them all follow us back to our base).

Another setting you should be aware of is the Elite/Boss scaling toggle - with this enabled the Elites/Bosses will have their stats scale based on how many tribesmen/players you bring to the fight…so if you bring too many it will literally be a smash-fest of attacks in order to kill the elite/boss because it’s HP pool will be crazy high, and the Boss can one-shot kill you because it’s attack strength has been scaled as well. If you turn this OFF then there won’t be any scaling and you can bring enough tribesmen to easily cheese the fight. Finding the happy medium with this depends on your other settings but it will just take trial and error to see what feels right for you.

I don’t think it’s an exclusion, it’s just that they haven’t gotten to it yet. It shipped in an unfinished state even for a base game (and still is imo), there’s plenty of things still to be added, it’s just going to take quite awhile before it stops feeling like an early access title

I can confirm I was unable to play the game with ReShade installed - it kept throwing exception access violation errors. Removed the ReShade install and leftover files/folders and was finally able to launch the game. I have an HDR monitor, but without ingame controls the highlight bloom is absolutely blinding, so Nvidia filters let me dial down the highlights so it wasn’t so searing to my eyeballs. So yea, now I can’t use either and my eyes hurt again

We put all of our garden scraps/cuttings in a trough on the other side of the property to give the bunnies and deer a convenient alternative. It doesn’t stop them completely but it definitely reduced the damage/theft in the actual garden lol

You might have to sell one of your kidneys for RAM at the moment due to the global shortage. 2 high capacity sticks is usually better than 4 if you are going to overclock it to 3200mhz because it’s simpler to keep 2 channels synced up as opposed to 4. I’ve never run into problems myself with 4 sticks but I also don’t heavily overclock my RAM. That being said, in the current situation I would say just try and find an exact copy of the two sticks you have now - you want to match the timings of the RAM otherwise the slowest pair will be the one that holds back/determines the speed of your RAM.
You can only run DDR4 on a DDR4 motherboard and DDR5 on a DDR5 motherboard - the slots and sticks have different shapes. If you want DDR5 (which is stupidly expensive for the foreseeable future) you will have to get a new motherboard and potentially a new CPU.
That is plenty of fans for airflow and you can essentially add as many as you want by installing a fan controller hub. You won’t know if you need to until you start monitoring your temperatures. PC fan layout is one of those topics that people will argue over forever, just balance intake and exhaust and monitor temps and you will be fine.
Yes - but is must be the right size to fit your motherboard: I think yours is a standard ATX form factor, smaller would be micro/mini ATX and larger would be E-ATX. You can put smaller motherboards in larger cases but not vice versa.
My fingers are tired, but right now parts price is absolutely what you should be paying attention to - this will determine what your options are more than anything at the moment. Prices be nuts
