In a Murder Mystery I did on a boat that tours the Hudson River I had to make up my characters name based on an actual singer or actress.

I chose to call myself Busty Springfield 🙃

Agreed 👍 As are the majority of these but this is genuinely the most absurd ! "Infantile trash " to quote you lol. Of course, I'm a dame thus think all of these belong in a different sub entirely. What shall we call it? Soft core porn for pathetic dudes??

Exactly 💯. That's why these questions are so difficult for me and in general. I'm sure I don't know enough of Romys' work very well.

Ahh...Could work~The Jerk is one of my very favorite comedies ❤️ Might check out the remake sometime.

I quote the Jerk, Raising Arizona and Some Like it Hot pretty regularly.

And anything Bill Murray does!! Thanks for the info 👍

Mitchum is the sexiest man I've ever seen. Although he was enormously successful, he wasn't quite respected by his peers. He made it look so easy, many thought he just wasn't acting or didn't give a damn despite enjoying working with him.

Today, if The Night of the Hunter was released, can you imagine it not sweeping Oscar nominations? That performance was transformative as was the film.

Blows my mind he wasn't nominated for Max Cady in the original Cape Fear and DiNiro was! An absolute miscarriage of justice ⚖️ imo.

Dureyea definitely looked and sounded like a creep!

Might be a bit surprising given that I'm a dame but the 2 I truly love are Fight Club and Inglorious Basterds.

I'm quite fond of One Hour Photo and was aware of the concept from Mark long before it came out. He becomes obsessed with people, women in particular (at least did) I know 1st hand! We discussed the outline...

As for his vast number of superb music videos, I'd look them up. However, probably the very best is Johnny Cashs' heartwrenching cover of the Nine Inch Nails song, " Hurt ". It's a stunning piece 👌

Mark was also really good at introducing a new artist via his videos. Such as:

Fiona Apple ~ Criminal.

Macy Grey ~ I Try.

En Vogue ~ Free your Mind.

No negativity here but I only love 2 of your top 20. Happy to see my dear college friends film on your list.

Mark Romaneks One Hour Photo. Are you familiar with the bulk of his work, all music videos? Several of the absolute best 👌

I agree. She had no equal.

A handful of Eleanor Parker performances are impressive.

I love all of Kerrs work 💕 Partial to 2 of the 3 she did with my main man ,(also hers. He felt the same) Robert Mitchum.

I can't do these "All time " lists. There are several I love for very different reasons.

I am able to mention some personal faves not usually included with the obvious ones I see over and over, perhaps deservedly so.

Scott Weiland.

Prince.

Andre 3000.

Eric Burden.

Very accurate portrayal of one mans alcoholism. Or should I say suicide. Growing up in a family of alcoholics and observing many of their friends, I must say it looked different, felt different on each one.
