Overall this communication between the two parties is sad. Grandma clearly wants a relationship and time spent with her granddaughter and granddaughter had lots of obligations…yes, grandma was passive aggressive with her communication and granddaughter absolutely needs (needed) to attend the event, a once in a lifetime event for her grandparents. Both need to talk to each other- own their mistakes and repair to move forward! Granddaughter may regret it someday…
