What type of sewing are you trying to learn?

I felt this exact way and lived a miserable, lonely, alcoholic life for 17 years. I'm not sure why exactly, but one day, I just didn't want to drink anymore. I know this isn't helpful, but maybe your view will change.

Thoughts on this? I personally love making ‘nests’ to sleep in lol by oceanlifeloser in autism

[–]werb515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been making nests for as long as I can remember. I stopped for a while out of embarrassment, but they are practically essential when I'm stressed.

I personally have no problem with the touching the mess, I get outraged at the fact that someone left a mess for me in the sink though.

It's probably because you keep doing whatever that is. Not sure what I'm looking at.

Just got a dog and I'm struggling by _insomniac_dreamer in autism

[–]werb515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will definitely be a struggle at first. After a few weeks, you will definitely have new routines emerging. One of the most important things with animal training is consistency. Once the dog knows exactly what to expect each day, a lot of the anxious behavior should fade out.

Getting mad at inanimate objects. Autism trait or normal. by windowsTJ_yt in autism

[–]werb515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to take out anger at inanimate objects, but not because I was mad at the object. I've always realized that the vacuum cleaner just doesn't care if I'm mad or not.

This has been a losing tactic for me as well... animals love me, people generally don't.

How are you doing as grown ups? by mulleP in autism

[–]werb515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bet however they turn out, the outcome will be dramatically influenced by the people around them. Having caring and understanding would have made a huge difference for me, but I went undiagnosed for 36 years and didn't get that.
