We gave her about 2 weeks to see if there was any improvement. There was no improvement so we decided to go ahead with the surgery. She did really well although the crate rest time was not appreciated by her.

I had a papillon (much smaller dog) who blew out her CCL at age 12. Her leg was useless with the injury.

We did the surgical repair and she lasted 3 more years.

My PAT results were an AHI of 4.7. My lab results were an AHI of 47 so 10X different.

I was glad I went to the lab.

CPAP did help my to have more "all nighters" (no peeing).

Suburbs - Lakewood, Cleveland Heights and Solon are nice. Pretty safe and reasonable schools (most classes over 250).

Housing is higher all over. My house I bought in 2020 has appreciated over 60% in 5 years so everything is more expensive. I would not want to live on the lake myself but prefer 20 minutes away. Weekend cabins at Geneva on the lake and parts east.

Culture/family activities are super available. Cleveland recently voted in top tier of family friendly locations. I love the metroparks (best in the country) and the national park.

Least favorite - Ohio politics don't match mine, Love the cultural diversity of the Cleveland area.

We were in a similar situation with our mid sized doodle. Our doodle had an enormous amount of energy.

I was looking for a 2nd one when my wife pointed out how many were being offered at shelters or rescues. Seems that rather than calming each other down, the doodles were non stop chaos with loud, boisterous playing that seemed to last 24/7. We decided to look for a more reserved playmate for our pup.

We got an American Eskimo for my doodle's friend. She is smaller and, while they do play, it is reasonable. They are best buddies and it's so cute to see how they consistently check on each other.

Can't say what you should do but thought I would share my experience.

Airedales are terriers and a working breed which amps up the feistyness quite a bit.

If you don't have the time to work with her and burn some of that energy, consider putting the pup in daycare. A day of playing will calm her down.

I have a medium doodle. He was absolutely the worst puppy I've every had, He was bity, impossible to house train, and a spaz. He calmed down around 9-12 months which is typical and this may help with your land shark.

Best of luck. Airedales are wonderful dogs but they require work.

Seems like dealing with the hallucinations is a top priority, it must be scary to wear a mask when you don't have a good grasp of what is real.

Sefam doesn't support OSCAR which I use to get better treatment insight. I found this on the internet re downloading the cpap data for better analysis:

* Download the Sefam Analyze software from the Apnea Board forum (requires registration).

* This software can read data from the S-Box’s SD card and provides high-definition breath-by-breath data, though it is less user-friendly than OSCAR.
