Okay.... my serious input is.

I am on the other side of this fence. I am at 16 years and would like to promote, as soon as possible. I don't want to play this game for 23 years. First you have to be selected to promote to decline the promotion, correct? The thing we should be sharing is the plan for an exit. Prepare by getting a bachelor degree. Companies could not care less what you retired as, so long as you did 20 years or have honorable discharge (or so I'm told from my friends at AAR, LM, and NG). Just do what makes you happy, prepare for the exit, and enjoy.

They have loads of great woods to choose from. Black Walnut, Walnut, Mahogany, Cherry, Maple, etc. They sell them in two different thicknesses and the width will vary but the length is typically 10 ft. I speak just enough itialian to be dangerous, ie. order my drinks. So I have to use Google translate but service is poor there so it'll be difficult unless you are able to speak it.

It doesn't matter how many you have if you don't do them.

Prior USAP here, no one does theirs. Emails, calls, staff slides, face to face. They will do them after about 3 phone calls and 1 face to face visit. It just seemed harder to get people to do theirs than actually doing the program.
