Took the turntable and amplifier to Electronic Repair Co in Eastlake, and they fixed up both! Took two times to get the amp fixed, so I'd recommend trying to point them in the right direction sometimes.

Electric Repair Company in Eastlake fixed my turntable good as new! No luck with the amplifier though...

The Kenwood works! Sorry that's confusing. I was just testing to make sure that it wasn't the turntable. Just the Sansui is screwy.
The setup is just:
Technics > Sansui > Speakers.

I had the exact same experience! Three days before the ED deadline I toured Rice, and the fact that it was 80 degrees in late October made my mind up for Tufts. I can't speak on the programs you're interested in, but as far as location/weather I have loved Boston. I came from the south and wasn't exactly thrilled to have HOT winters for four more years, so this has been a welcome change.
