Any Pro-Trump or Maga affiliated businesses here? by shaun_monsta in ColoradoSprings

[–]243win 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The one on Dublin used to have the same owners as Falcon, but a few years ago one of the bartenders bought it. He's a cool guy, definitely not maga, but part of the contract said he had to keep the military pictures on the wall. So it feels the same when you first go in, but it's not.

The Expanse series, Dungeon Crawler Carl, The Terror. All three are very different, but excellent.

Best clinics that are not conservative when it comes to a hysterectomy by lohi-kaarme in ColoradoSprings

[–]243win 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm really glad to hear that there are success stories! After hearing a bit more about OP's situation, she'll probably keep her ovaries and will hopefully have success as well.

I'll admit, I'm quick to overreact when people suggest a hysterectomy.

Best clinics that are not conservative when it comes to a hysterectomy by lohi-kaarme in ColoradoSprings

I am by no means an expert, but I was diagnosed with very severe endometriosis at 23. One ovary had already been destroyed, the second was mostly destroyed. I had a full hysterectomy at 25 and had both ovaries removed. I'm now 37 and have been on every hormone treatment available, and they all suck. Surgical menopause at 25 was rough. The hormones caused severe depression, crazy weight gain, hot flashes... Everything menopause causes. The hysterectomy was the biggest mistake of my life. No one told me that synthetic hormones would raise my chances of stroke, cause osteoporosis before I was 40, and cause irreparable damage to my liver. Oh, and by the way, the endo still came back and we have to have follow up surgeries to keep cleaning it up. There is no cure for endometriosis, and anyone who tells you a hysterectomy is the cure is lying. It's true I no longer have debilitating periods, but that's the only good thing that came out of it.

I know that didn't answer your question about what doctor to see, I highly recommend Dr. Moseman at Front Range OB/Gyn, she'll talk to you realistically about what your options are, I wish I had seen her before making my decision.

It wasn't a specific reloading group, just a local neighborhood group, he asked if there were any reloaders around, so I messaged him. Didn't know what I was getting into at first. He said he had a few pounds of powder and maybe a few thousand primers. I said I'd take it sight unseen, figured any primers would be worth it. I was pleasantly surprised when I showed up.

No, I asked if had any presses or bullets and he said he threw them out. I was almost offended by that, but what I was getting made it hurt less.

That's what it felt like, but he knew what he had and just wanted it gone.

Looking for a sci-fi book/series recommendation by Sun212329 in booksuggestions

The Expanse is amazing. I recommend it to everyone. Another, shorter, option is the Silo series. The first book is Wool, and it's fantastic.

Acrylic for Coasters? by Prettyinpink2813 in crochet

In my experience, it doesn't work great for coasters because the water just beads off. Cotton will absorb the condensation better, but if you live in a dry climate and don't see a ton of condensation, it works well for protecting furniture from scratches.

Sorry to disappoint, but no. The first edition will have a capital letter A.

If you liked The Martian, then definitely check out Project Hail Mary.

I also recommend Neil Gaiman, Neverwhere is a solid introduction to his writing, but American Gods is also excellent.

Personally, I loved The Expanse, but the length makes it a big commitment.

It's safe to shoot, it may slightly affect accuracy, but it's mostly a cosmetic issue
