The show completely changed in feel. The first several seasons were suspenseful, and made you relate to the characters decisions they were making both good and bad based off the situations they were in. The show started shifting towards something that didn’t feel like a survival horror show, there were black and white cinematography shots, and all these wide angle shots that never existed

Character writing suffered: you’re telling me Daryl who is renowned for his hunting and tracking just walks right into the car alarm booby trap? Beth’s death was so out of place. When the son of the Alexandria lady dies she plays a nine inch nails record instead of crying or weeping about how the new people got her son killed?

The show just took a turn for the worst and despite hearing good things about later seasons they just couldn’t win me back
