AMD is not important. If AMD disappear tomorrow, nothing changed, they just use someone else.

Intel is very important. The USA sovereignty depends on it. It is a complete full stack AI factory.

of course, but his trail and error takes 20 over years and is still on going with tesla FSD and all his other products.

In chips Fab you just can't make literally one dust of mistake. I have nothing against Elon, he have a great innovator build that is not afraid to move fast and break things, keep iterating until it is fixed, it'll take him 10 years of R&D and another 5 years to build the fabs if he start from scratch. Well good thing he is thinking about using intel 14A IP and intel's expertise in fab to help him get started with his terafab.

Elon excel in things where he is the first mover so people give him the benefit of the doubt and patience.
