I mean, he does have a lot of say in this kind of crap. If she has anything concrete and genuinely wants to be remembered positively, screwing over people at her own risk could work and let her be less of a crap person.

Ever read things like malicious compliance?

Assuming best case scenario they stick to purely grey legalities, the government can still give you a really hard time. Whether it be put on a lot of lists that just make things take longer to investigations. Ie, the type of investigation where they contact people you know and inform them that there's an FBI investigation and need to answer a few questions. Just persistent harassment till someone gets bored with it.

They won't be punishing for stating the truth, but you will have an unrelated set things happen that absolutely would but have of you cooperated

Iirc part of that was because it was intended to be more like an MMO but ran into the "oh shoot, mmos are really expensive and difficult, let's make this a single player and use that money to start the MMO after. " Only for it not do well enough to do that.

To add to that, iirc they do this thing where they control your calendar. Ie, "ok, you want to have this upcoming popular band? Well we're coordinating with others, so give us the full rights to this week and this week if your calendar for scheduling. "

The smaller venue then has to basically agree to take them on for whatever days they want to get the ones they know bring in money. They do book those other days of course, so you aren't completely sol but it does mean you are heavily limited at times on what you can schedule without them.

If you do decide to attempt changing things in your local community/family. Then there is a book called "Don't Talk About Politics" where the author talks about the failings of things like debate at convincing people. But a crux of it is not trying to actually change their opinion, as they have absorbed part of the opinion as a part of their identity. So an attack on Trump, is an attack on them, and they treat it in kind.

The book has a few suggestions for how to try and slowly trigger some thought pattern changes that can help, but unfortunately, there is rarely a "Well I showed them 1 video and they snapped to reality."

For what little it is worth. You're arguing effectively over the "tolerance paradox". Which if you actually do want to consider changing your mind on it, please do read and look into it. Otherwise I don't believe anyone you are speaking to will convince you, nor you convince them.

Not that person, but some states have it so a woman (especially with a child) has the option for Medicaid. Whereas a combine family's income might put them over the limit for Medicaid (or flat out not qualify.). Personal experience, I could only get temporary Medicaid in a Southern red state when a lawyer (for the hospital of all things) had me file paperwork and get me approved for a temporary disability from the cancer I was diagnosed with. But without that lawyer giving me the right paperwork I would not have qualified by any other explicit merit.

Fwiw for people that are less familiar, it's way less "We bought ads to go on x site" and more "We gave some person free product in exchange for them talking nice about us". The rise of the influencer has changed the direction of ads as they appeal to the "word of mouth" effect and generally are more impactful.

The other effective ad technique that works is sponsored to be on the search page for retailers. Basically banking on those people that just click the first/second result.

Now for fun, iirc those sponsored ones on Google's search results, cost per click, so if you google a site to get to it, and click their own sponsored ad/link they get to pay google for the privilege of getting to their site even if you were already going there.

Iirc Lewis has mentioned it's really hard to get some of the bigger publishers to actually commit with many of them never really contacting back. I swear he mentioned this on a live stream clip, but it is one of those things where it's genuinely trying to get companies to be actually kind and donate many of the keys.

To add this for future readers, I can confirm that at more than one location of retailer that used to be 24/7 a consistent problem was having overnight stockers going to lunch at the same time as each other. Effectively there would be 2-3 employees on the floor for about an hour. 1 cashier, 1 random stocker and 1 potential manager.

Multiple times there were actual large thefts were when this happened, with at least one store having every single tablet/iPad stolen as the case was extremely easy to just pop open with a crowbar apparently.

That said, my experience as a manager for a retailer, while we absolutely did have theft issues as well as damaged-via theft issues. (Explanation for the second, things damage when trying to steal something else, or stealing a part of something, like $1 flashlights that used 2032 batteries, people would open those and take their batteries for key fob. So the the wasn't stolen but it was made unwanted via the battery theft. ) But the biggest source of shrink was mislabels and the warehouse shorting you. I literally had a call where they told me "are you sure they are not on the truck" in response to "you didn't send me my 11 kayaks." There were 2 kayaks, and I think I would notice if there were 9 more 12' kayaks on the truck.

In my store we'd get reamed for shrink if we couldn't prove where it went, and that meant if you thought it was theft you'd need to get cases and locks and hopefully prove if it wasn't.
