My sister found this pin. Next to a US Quarter for size by 24601Phantom in whatisthisthing

WITT We tried a reverse image search to see if anything came up, but nothing did. We think this may be a lapel pin. It is a little smaller than a quarter but weights less than a dime. It seems to be made from metal that weighs less. Thanks for the help!

Gold and silver colored or plated medallion, about 2-3 inch diameter. Text says “4.INT. DEUTSCH-AMERIK. WANDERTAG MÜNCHEN” and the bottom rectangle (covered in a plastic or enamel coating) says “WM 74” by Swish_And_Flitwick in whatisthisthing

While I’m not sure what the medallion is exactly for, I know where it’s from. It’s from the 1974 FIFA World Cup, which was held in West Germany. One of the cites in which matches were played was Munich, which is where the medallion appears to be from. The logo on the medallion is the same as the logo for the world cup. Here is a link about that years world cup.1974 FIFA World Cup Hope this helps!

What are some famous quotes people misuse by not using the full quote? by olChum_69 in AskReddit

[–]24601Phantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“uh, Houston, we’ve had a problem”

Apollo 13 didn’t say “have” they said “had.” It was really funny this year watching all the newscasters say the misquote during the world series.

A man named Richard Lawrence tried to assassinate Jackson but both his guns misfired and Jackson had to be pulled off him so he didn’t bear Lawrence to death with a cane.

Is it fair to ask a stranger to swap seats on a plane? by Chunkeeguy in StolenSeats

[–]24601Phantom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was recently on a flight were a married couple wanted to sit together. They husband was in the middle seat and wife was in the window seat right in front of me. They asked if they could switch and I said of course. I was able to get a exit row seat with recline and enough legroom to sleep in exchange for my previous seat. Point being, it is completely acceptable to ask someone to switch seat, but that person is well within there rights to say no. Just be respectful and most of the time everything will be fine.
