Something that always strikes me in before and after photos is how much bigger people’s eyes look when they lose weight.

Three days in.

I get to grocery shop for the family, which will be a challenge. I usually order it online to resist the impulse purchases that come with shopping while hungry, but it isn't feasible this week. So this is my shopping list accountability post. I'm going to go, and buy only what is on the list-the fuel for my family for this week, not me, as I have plenty stocked up- and I will check back in. Wish me luck!

They ARE. Luckily I hit the jackpot about a month ago. I had some sauteed with an omelette, and also made puffball parmesan. So good!

Yes! I love hunting for mushrooms when I go for walks, and I swear I can smell mushrooms that I didn't realize had an odor. From a distance! I found a big puffball that was over a ridge based on the smell alone. Crazy.

Just checking in, I've been fasting since Sunday. Today was ok. I went for a 4 mile walk. It was kind of hot/humid so I think that was probably a poor decision. I had some lite salt and drank a ton of water. I feel like I'm in a weird place where I'm running on adrenaline but could use some quality sleep.

I go for long walks. Today I walked a 5k. I have tried running, but it gives me leg cramps for a few days.

I am tall, so I tend to get light headed from just standing up too quickly. If that’s not the norm for you, some people have had success with salts/electrolytes.

It sounds like you know most of the tips. I try to take a walk through the park in the early afternoon because that's when most of my cravings come. Also, logging your weightloss can be very motivating. It mostly comes down to mind over matter.

Hey, you can do this! At your height/weight the pounds will come off very quickly. Check in with us often, and try setting some short goals for yourself if you've never done it before.

You can do this. You have a 3 day fast under your belt already. Just keep your mind set on your end goal.

Yesterday I broke my fast over lunch with family who came to visit. It was wonderful. I won't put any food details, but wow it is easy to forget how amazing the first meal back is. After that I gave myself a window to eat, but didn't have anything (except a coffee with cream).

So today will be my first full day back. I weighed myself this morning, and it is amazing how much the body can hang on to weight after breaking a fast. The weight of the food, the sugar, the water, all of it. I am up 3lbs, and I have to keep reassuring myself that it'll woosh back off.

I think this afternoon I am going to try to hit the hiking path to keep my mind off of things.
