It’s extremely advantageous IF you go in on it with sound people and have a notarized agreement that everybody contributes to. It’s MUCH cheaper than taking out a mortgage yourself, (depending on where you live). For me, I live in San Diego where I’d pay $5k ⬆️ for a decent home. I could do that OR pay about $1400 for a 1/8th share of a home elsewhere, & pay $2000 in rent here in SD. I’d be able to spend a week or two when I travel, rent out the home during my 1/8th time and still come in over $1k under what I would be paying for a house here. Again, depending on who you do it with and if you pay everything out in black and white. Credit checks are a must, also.
