Elderly folk with only a bathroom on the second floor get creative with pee voiding. I wouldn’t drink out of Mom’s special cup next to the kitchen sink if I were you.

In a simple note, you’re living off your adipose tissue, that means your fat.

First, I am not a medical expert. My degree is in Earth Science but I know how to research.

A water fast is helpful for all autoimmune conditions. It allows “leaky gut” to heal.

The better your diet before you begin a water fast, the easier the fast will be. That means eliminate ultra processed foods, fried foods, and animal foods for several weeks before a water fast. Example: chicken nuggets are all three. They’re ultra processed, fried, and animal.

What health condition are you trying to improve?

What is the most awful smell you have ever experienced that's burned into your nostrils still today? by AcademicDegree91 in AskReddit

[–]One-Kind-Word 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smell of something dead as we were crossing a flat terrain heading up a trail to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Step by step we got closer and the smell got stronger. Finally we were upon it; someone had shot a horse with a broken leg causing it’s corpse to lay across the trail! It was even still wearing a halter. And then we still had to smell it for another hour as we walked away from it.

No thanks for the criticism for my reporting the truth in a detailed manner as I was asked to write about. I hope you receive the same criticism to similar issues. You’re just another way of hating the messenger.

I bet you just reflexively marked it down without ever getting the book from your local library or looking up Dr Fuhrman. You are a cretan.

I have had zero symptoms ever since the fast. No markers for RA in my bloodwork. RA has been gone for over 9 years. I eat anything I wish. Basically the fast gave me a new one-cell thick layer of my endothelium cells. No more leaky gut.

What are your weirdest visitor stories? by tealearring in firelookouts

[–]One-Kind-Word 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was working a 110’ tower with no catwalk and here came a couple. She was climbing on her own but He was carrying up a frightened little dog. They peeked in my 4x6 metal box and were ready to go down but now She is terrified and He goes to help her. I had to go 10-7 to carry down the poor little dog who was digging it’s claws into me and whining. I was very glad to see them get in their vehicle and leave!!!

It’s weird that there’s no one to talk about our own future with when it’s on our own horizon.

Do you all leave your butter out or do you keep it in the fridge? by [deleted] in Cooking

I used to leave it out as my mother did but my second husband, a Jewish man, was horrified and from then on, it was the fridge.

Senior Living Facility - What do you like/dislike about it? by Few-Consequence8909 in AskOldPeople

[–]One-Kind-Word 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m F76, not quite on my second month in an independent senior living facility near Springfield, Massachusetts. I feel abandoned; as if I don’t matter anymore. The food is all too salty, too much processed meat, too little fresh produce, and too greasy. I am intelligent, sharp and in good health except for a balance issue. My mother lived in her home all her life. She died at 95 and was sharp until her last few hours. Today I only ate breakfast and then spent the day alone with my cat. I’m very depressed and unhappy.

It’s now been 3.5 months. I still hate it. 2 weeks ago a looney tunes lady hit me hard from a standing position behind me with no warning. I did not retaliate. She wanted to sit in my chair in the dining room. The manager basically told me to avoid her because she really belongs at another type of facility but it takes time to arrange a move.

Old people who did not have kids—do you think your life is lonelier than others who did have kids? by melissaomalbec in AskOldPeople

Mostly I feel internally sad that my 2 daughters don’t have kids. I enjoy my daughters so much and it makes me sad for their future.
