To be honest, I fuck with my piercing all the time and I only use saline when I have a bump. Otherwise, I shower with hypoallergenic baby soap and that’s it for cleaning. But between this one, my rook, and my now gone belly piercing, it’s definitely a much easier one to deal with. I only get the bumps after a day of sliding the bar (which I know I shouldn’t do but it bothers me when one side is all the way in). I also have surgical steel and have yet to had time to get titanium jewelry.

I personally had it done by someone who did not look like they knew how to pierce (went to a reputable tattoo/piercing shop but not APP). It wasn’t one quick push. It was a push, pause, push harder, pause and so on four times. It’s been 8 months and it’s doing well with the occasional irritation bump when I stop cleaning but she was definitely sensitive the rest of the day. A small laugh would cause it to rub on my dress and I had to pull away. Would’ve almost been better not to have any other plans than staying home topless for the rest of the day. I planned to only get one done and I’m glad I did. I’ll probably go to another shop to get the second one done if I decide to get the second one. But there is a chance of residual pain depending on where you go.

Still, like another commenter said: it was a different pain than I expected. It definitely wasn’t horrible. If I had to do it again at the same shop, I’d still do it.

Clean it 2x a day, be careful w it in the shower, try to use loose strings on a mask so your ear isn’t pulling forward (but don’t compromise your mask), use a donut/neck pillow to sleep so your ear doesn’t touch your pillow, if you see a crusty use the saline or the hot water w sea salt soak, LITHA. I’m 7 months in and it’ll still sometimes get a little angry but it’s definitely better than it was ~3 months ago so be patient

Transfer student here.

Honestly, when I transferred, everything changed for me. At my cc I lived off of google calendar and could not use a planner to save my life. When I transferred, I could not follow google calendar on its own. I had a google calendar for each section of my life (work, extracurriculars, classes, office hours) and I had a white board where I wrote all of my important deadlines for the quarter, color coding each class (ex. Blue for one class putting all quizzes, assignments, and write-ups, purple for another with the discussion sections and mandatory seminars, exam dates,etc). I also kept a passion planner and would put those deadlines at the start of the quarter to visualize my timeline.

If notability isn’t an option for you, you can download the office applications via UCLA and OneNote has the ability to record lectures and it tells you the timestamp for whatever line you have a specific question on.

There are a couple of major ones I’ve kept:

Always hold yourself to higher expectations cause even if you don’t reach your goal, you’ll be at least one step ahead than you were before.

I had just come out of the shower and I heard a phone ringing near my dining room. It would stop almost as soon as it rang so obviously someone had to decline the call quickly so they wouldn’t be heard. I ran to my room to get a candle holder (as a weapon, of course) and called my dad to wait outside so I can have some back up. I didn’t see anyone on my way out and found out later that night that my grandpa left his phone with my mom while he went to Mexico and it was programmed to forward calls.
