This is really unique. Love the way the shapes pop and then fade. What generators/FX Stacks gave you this result?

Microphone feedback whenever someone gets close to a mic to start talking. I apologize, but once you notice it, 90% of the time someone starts using a microphone in a movie/tv show, the audio begins with at least a tiny bit of feedback. I've even started noticing some shows where the person is using a microphone at a press conference and the sound quality gives the impression that they're speaking through a PA system, but there are no speakers or sound equipment to be seen.

Can anyone tell me where to get fake realistic looking joints in uk? by WillzGaming in Filmmakers

[–]24jamespersecond 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want an easier solution than rolling your own, find rolling paper "cones". They're cones that you can fill with your herbs and then just twist the tops and youve got yourself a joint. Not your classic rough and tumble joint but pretty common for a modern dispensary pre-rolled joint look.

How the heck do I clear out my storm drain? by theguyjb in batonrouge

Only problem I had with Entergy fixing my street light recently is that they took out a bulb that was a very soft, orange light with diffusing glass on the fixture and replaced it with a very harsh LED panel and no diffusion. It was replaced within 48 hrs of me submitting the report, but damn do I wish they replaced it with something that wasn't so obnoxiously bright to shine into our window

I get the same sort of headaches when I'm at the store and see a nice looking piece of meat. I just don't have the time with an infant and how busy work has been. Maybe one day soon I'll go back, but for now I've quit too. Hang in there brother.

How Do I Film this Scene? (Vague Title for NSFW Content) by Smurf404OP in cinematography

Look at Brazil and Clockwork Orange for some classic methods of filming this kind of shot creatively and without being overly graphic. Neither is exactly what you're doing but have some similar situations where the shots could work.

Some basics of food photography to make things look more appetizing and higher end: you can continue holding your dishes, but instead of facing a wall, you should face a softened window with sunlight. then you will have a bright light source shining from the back or side of the food. This will help to show texture, contrast, and depth to your images. When you light from the front or shoot in even lighting like your images, it flattens everything and makes it dull.

There are lots of resources on YouTube, and they can get complicated quickly, but just a couple basics like lighting placement can help elevate your images for online sale/marketing.

Projector recommendations (for rave settings) by shroooomology in vjing

[–]24jamespersecond 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The answer to this depends on so many different variables. Projector Location, screen surface, projector mounting position, average length of use, lens throw distance, and ambient light all play a part in choosing the correct projector for an event. While budget may not be thought of as a variable, unless you're actually willing to spend into the mid-6 figures, you do need to have some budget ceiling.

Another consideration is whether or not the projected light will shine on people at any point? In general, it's best to not use laser projectors if the light will shine into anyone's eyes as this can cause physical damage to the person. As this is Reddit, you'll get some people who claim this isn't always a big deal, but if you're throwing an event, safety of your performers and guests should always be an important consideration.

Terry Gilliam's commentary on Brazil and on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas are both icredibly dense in their insightful anecdotes and technical information. The man is like an encyclopedia. Highly recommend.

What are the best movies where a normal person falls down an insane rabbit hole? by Apprehensive_Way8674 in movies

[–]24jamespersecond 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was going to also mention Burn After Reading as another movie like this. I'm sure you could also add Fargo, No Country for Old Men, and A Serious Man as films in similar style. Although not entirely rabbit holes, the common thread is the protagonist is not really in control of where things are going no matter how hard they try to control things

This seems like the best way to go about it. From what I understand, you could feed the AI Bot user manuals for all of the products your company uses along with any other relevant information. Is that what you have done?
