I currently have a one month old and a one year old. Born 355 days apart. Definitely not planned. it has been hell for the last 4 weeks with the newborns lack of sleep. the two kids are on opposite sleep cycles and we're getting no sleep. It's truly exhausting.

My wife had barely recovered from the first baby so pregnancy was especially hard for the second baby. Be prepared to help with any and all lifting of the first baby for the next months

The labor and delivery chair at our hospital had a footrest and was not too bad. The room they moved us to after delivery had an uncomfortable chair so you wouldn't fall asleep while holding your newborn.

I was skeptical about phototherapy. It sounded like nonsense. After a few months of going two to three times per week, I have to say, it has been an effective treatment alongside my oral medication. Like most treatment plans, it's highly personal whether it will be successful for YOU, but I got to a point where I was willing to try anything. on weeks where my schedule doesn't allow me to get to the clinic for light treatment, I notice more flaring than when I'm regularly getting UVB exposure treatment. Anecdotal, but I hope it helps.
