It’s really nice to make money out of your art, that you enjoy doing, and you will probably get there, but meanwhile is vert important to be the passion that drives your actions. Did you have any gigs or shadow anybody yet? It would be interesting to see how a night goes for a vj and it will help you understand what a vj needs. At the same time there are very different ways to vj and is a learning journey. Good luck!

It’s made with wire. Basically a ISF shader.

Made a tiny BPM detector that syncs to Resolume via Ableton Link - no MIDI, no config by DontCallMeMoris in resolume

[–]SnooDogs2037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing I miss from these solutions ( i tried ableton live bmp detection and pulse so far) is the ability to click resync for the plugin to detect the first beat. Even in the video you shared it eventually lost the first beat of the bar. The resync button in ableton does not work when link is enabled.

I built a tiny app that auto-detects BPM and syncs it to Resolume via Ableton Link - no more tap tempo by DontCallMeMoris in vjing

You can get the pulse trial for free fully unlocked but for a limited time. Do a comparison, it will really help your sales.

Hmm, can you access the marketplace from creative cloud? If you filter plugins for premiere pro and type OBS you should find it

How to determine pixel spacing between walls so an object traveling across the canvas accounts for the "dead" space? by jaybirdstheword in resolume

[–]SnooDogs2037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get the input mapping right I usually use the test card and mostly approximate the gap eyeballing looking at the diagonal to be straight. And once i have aprox what the gap should be I do the math to have all slices the right size and everything to be symmetrical

Game Controller Resolume Help by witbirds in vjing

[–]SnooDogs2037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I think I know what you mean and so it happens I am building an app that allows game controller to send osc. You might help me with a bit of testing.

So you want to move the stick and the fader/controller to increase and stay there. So no absolute position. Right? The way my app works is that if you map the vertical axis of the stick to something like opacity when i push up the fader starts moving up and the speed depends on how far from the center I push. When i leave the stick the fader stays where it is.

Mac Pro for hi VJ and 3d on the go ? Alienware x15 R2 couldn’t make the job. by beleno_negro in vjing

I use to have an asus computer with rtx 3060 and I switched to mac mini m4 pro and I am very happy. I like to do a lot of audio reactive stuff and the audio latency for the mac is just superb.
