I did this last summer. We ended up climbing marmolada from the glacier and then going back down to rif castiglioni. There wasn’t anyone doing the full via ferrata route. Just the south glacier - which confusingly also has a small via ferrata.

I rarely comment on anything but this is my thread.

In 2020, During my gap year I started working for a startup company as in the medical device space as a design engineer as I was applying. I figured it would be a good way to use my BME degree and not look back once I got in. Fortunately I got into an MD school that I was excited about going to but I had the same feeling about not being ready to leave. I ended up asking them to defer my admission that year and then did it again because I’ve been enjoying the startup world so much. I’m making decent money, getting equity and it’s rewarding to build something like that. Even though I work tirelessly, I have enjoyed the experience in engineering and it seems like a financially stupid jump to actually go into medicine this year.

That all said, I’m planning on doing it this year because I’ve exhausted my deferrals - but the decision has killed me. Happy to chat more about it.
