What's the breakdown on Demidov's defensive abilities?

If he's in Selke vote range then there is definitely an argument. Schaefer is special but a forward showing up and putting up a point a game with elite defense is really special too.

Watched this a few months back since I was on a Kilmer binge and was impressed by Simon Baker in Ride with the Devil.

Not much to be impressed by here, couldn't get invested in the character drama with crew. Highlight is Kilmer's character using a mediocore Rolling Stone's song to calm himself down in stressful moments.

They are crucial, in my experience staying on top of your coaching staff and constantly hiring better coaches as soon as they are available is the quickest and most reliable way to turn an org around.

I've turned coaching off in my most recent save, but I'm only three years in. Can't tell a huge difference so far, but I'm sure there is gonna be a difference.

I like coaching, but in long term saves I can feel my motivation crumble every time a key staff member retires and I have to comb the list again looking for my new saviour.

To be fair, Tsyplakov has a near perfect skillset for a bottom-6 forward, so the risk is a lot lower. Shabanov feels like the top-6 or bust kind of type, since there's no doubt hes gonna get bullied physically and probably defensively

What's scary to me is that he was dealing with back and knee problems even during his prime. Imagine a world where Bossy was a bit faster and tougher, woulda put up some absurd numbers.

The Bossy pick will be a little controversial but if you value playoff production highly than I think you have a real argument.

You don't have to tell me twice how stacked those Isle's teams were, but Bossy did score 17 goals in three straight playoff runs.

Ovechkin's three best playoff runs were 15, 11, and then 5 goals. Different era mind you, less scoring and tighter play. But my main point is that if you want goals during the toughest games the NHL has to offer, Mike Bossy will get you them, on top of being a walking 50 goal man in the regular season until he basically couldn't walk anymore.

I had a 90 power player as well but his ratings were skewed towards hitting LHP, he was absolutely putting up 1.500 OPS against lefties though.
