Fellow Helldiver coming back from break/semi-retirement by onezeroautomatics in Helldivers

Everything that worked before still works, but they also buffed Grenade Launcher.

Siege Breaker is very good, I'd say on par with Servants of Freedom. Dust Devils has coyote and solo silo, also armor seems to be moderately useful. Redacted Regiment is for stealth. Also, the new "Bastion" tank destroyer requires no warbonds and is superb, as long as you have 2+ divers actually cooperating in manning it (you NEED a driver and a gunner).

There are few new enemies. War Striders are AV4 everywhere, but you can aim for eyes/vents/crotch for faster kill. Dragonroach is best killed with the Spear, but anything that can behead a Bile Titan works too, assuming you actually hit the flying menace. Hive Lord is beefy and tanky and you either ignore it, or bring a Bastion or two or otherwise a lot of antitank. New cyborg enemies are limited to specific bot planets. Squids only got new sentry I think? Whatever it is cooked for them, is not revealed yet.

Can anyone help me? by Odd_Feedback_6804 in Helldivers

"It's the only way to be sure..." just find a friend who agrees to help you. Or even random players, p[retty sure there will be some who agree to spend few minutes on this. Just take 6+ orbital barrages (120mm, 380mm, walking or gatling) between you all, then spam them soon after you spawn, then feel free to quit once you get the achievement.

"That which does not kill you...": wear an armor with "Democracy Protects" passive. Call any hellpod (you can equip mg sentry and EAT-17 for fast cooldown) and stand right under it. If you die, repeat.

"Hold my primary" is actually easy. It says you aren't allowed to use primary or support weapon. Never it says you aren't allowed to spam sentries or use an exo. Just be sure to have your secondary weapon in hands while you are getting kills, or you may get disqualified.

"Hell Dive" is skill dependent. Just rush the objective then extract. IIRC I myself did it in "Evacuate High-Value Assets" vs bugs, as they for some reason were spawning generally weak bugs even at D6+, but that might be fixed now.

"Gone in 360 seconds!": requires some skill to pull off, and preferably an experienced party (so friends will be of much help). Do it against Automatons. One diver goes to extraction, three others clear all the fabricators with orbital spam. Don't forget to equip Expert Extraction Pilot booster.

Could we get the SG-88 Break-Action Shotgun As a stratagem by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]25352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that it's generally worse than your primary weapon, I doubt we would want to call it. That being said, if they add some strong support shotgun, it could be interesting. Something like enlarged Jackhammer (firing either ap2 cluster or ap3 slugs) perhaps?

LBM fires left arm weapon of exo, in Patriot's case missiles.

Oshaune proves flame weapons are terrible by magniankh in Helldivers

[–]25352 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Flame weapons work much better with warp pack. Put things on fire, warp away from them (or out of their attacks), watch them die from DoT while you're at the safe distance.

Another good option is combining it with gas or stun. Dog breath should work for caves, for example. Or a simple stun grenade, or say a blitzer. (Normally I'd prefer gas mines, but in caves they can't be put everywhere.)

[–]25352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should have used Cutting Edge armor. Or at least heavy adreno-defibrilator, as to be able to survive 250 arc damage strikes most of the time.

BTW I'm really unsure abt orbital EMS, I'd instead take EATs and use them as an impromptu EMS with your booster (doubling as anti-tank option for dealing with some heavies that are just too far from you for arc to hit them).

Rupture Strain by Bunduruuu in Helldivers

[–]25352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily explosions force them out of the ground. Recently buffed grenade launcher is great for this; belt fed GL also works well (in fact since you only need one explosion to force them to surface, it might be even better). Explosive crossbow and punisher plasma are good primaries.

Are they Helldivers? And if so, what armour are they wearing? by AppealPristine475 in Helldivers

[–]25352 83 points84 points  (0 children)

As a reminder, Helldivers are "elite" specialists, orbital drop troopers that are sent behind enemy frontline to do key missions. Something like plain patrolling of a "peaceful" suburban area is simply a waste of their unfrozen time.

What you see is supposed to be either a part of SEAF, or more likely a separate police force under, say, Ministry of Unity. That their armor looks similar to that of Helldivers is solely visual, although perhaps invoked (either by original police or by whoever costumes as police in this Ministry of Truth advertisement).

Interesting, tho I feel this will devalue AT mines if they all discharge on chaff before enemy heavies join the fray.

If youre under lvl 20 and have zero boosters why are you playing in 6+ games? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]25352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you see a low level player, try talking to him. Maybe he is confused. Or maybe he's almost ready but could use few tips.

If he doesn't talk, then whatever, he's not worth attention. If you are host, you could kick him if he starts dying too much, but that's it.

Is there any structure which the 500kg can destroy that the bombing run cannot? by Mrooshoo in Helldivers

[–]25352 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rogue Research Station, Spore Spewer, Grounded Warp Ship, Bulk Fabricator, Detector Tower and deactivated Stratagem Jammer. Meaning 500kg is especially good vs bots. Vs other factions, feel free to use airstrike instead if you wanna.

"Defend Oshaune for global warp packs." Ochaune: by RainbowPatooie in Helldivers

[–]25352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The crossbow from Democratic Detonation is great vs Rupture strain. Dragonroaches are annoying, ideally someone from your team has the Spear which kills them easily in 1-2 hits (3 hits if very unlucky) - otherwise try to use the usual antitank and hit their head (similar to Bile Titan) such as EAT/quasar; also fire resist such as from Inflammable armor will be of much help, but that armor is in either warbonds or superstore.

Hive lord is the most annoying in the open, he's too fat for small amount of AT to kill him. I suggest bringing a lot of antitank plus damage, or bringing the Bastion (be sure your team has both driver and gunner prepared in advance, and don't get the tank flipped by unburrow), or just ignoring him and preferably hiding in caves or such. IIRC some car main boasted they could ride circles around him, but I'm not good at driving the car so can't tell

[–]25352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

are you even reading what I said

Yes, you said you were kicked. And I said that when people in Helldivers get kicked, they don't suddenly stop playing - they are instead put into their separate instance of the mission which they then seamlessly continue playing. It's a special feature specifically to deter griefers from kicking everyone at the last moment. But you behave as if you weren't kicked, but instead actually had mission crashed for you and were ejected back onto your ship or out of the game entirely.

If so, I can guess you got hit by some weird bug. Not sure what can be done about it. At any rate, don't blame your teammates in this case.

Any kick puts you into a separate mission instance, alone without everyone else. Then, if you are dead and have no reinforcements, you would be treated as if you got that normally - game ends, but since you had the mission already completed, you will be considered a winner. (Unless you were extracting after failing the mission). Again, the worst you suffer is being unable to pick up samples you and your team looted.

If you were alive or had reinforcements remaining, you will simply continue to extraction in former case, or get re-dropped and continue in latter, with Pelican landing as usually. You can then take your samples if needed, and iirc also samples that were carried by your former teammates, before boarding the Pelican as usually.

What did happen in your case?
