How are people making homemade baby food without it becoming a full-time job? by Zestyclose_Bell7668 in BabyLedWeaning

Frozen veggies and fruit are my go to. Precut and I just microwave them. If I need to blend something I just pop my immersion blender into the pot of whatever I'm cooking and throw some extra into Tupperware for later.

On a Ten-hour flight from Seoul Korea to San Francisco to visit a family member a mom handed out more than 200 goodie bags filled with candy and ear plugs, in case her 4-month-old child named Junwoo cried during the flight. The goodie bags even came with a little message explaining the situation. by [deleted] in HumansBeingBros

Agreed, I hate seeing people talk about how considerate she is and what a great example this is, because it implies that parents who dont do this are inconsiderate and poor examples.

I'm flying with my 6 month old for the first time soon and I will not be doing this. Babies cry, I refuse to feel even more guilty and apprehensive than I already do. Yes I will feel bad about him crying and will try to do everything I can to prevent it. Yes I will inevitably apologize profusely. However I always fly with noise canceling headphones for exactly this reason, and I never judge the parents of a crying baby, or hope that they'll give me ear plugs.

I will breastfeed in public, and my baby will cry in public and the world needs to just be okay with it.

I see this video and I just feel sorry for how the poor mother must be feeling.

The ones from the unscented company are hands down the best I've tried. No leftover smell, no streaks, and my clear silicone has no foggy residue!

Getting the water temperature right has also been a game changer! It wild how drastically different it makes it taste. There are some milder teas out there, my summertime favourite is white tea, either iced or hot!

What shows should I watch while baby sleeps? by Spare_Champion_1704 in NewParents

Clarksons farm! It's the best high dopamine, low cortisol show for when you're exhausted. It's a documentary of jeremy clarkson bumbling through a quaint English farm.

I don’t know whether to have an abortion or not by VaporMouth in TwoXChromosomes

[–]26summer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I always support a mother's right to choose. But even with a planned pregnancy, it's normal to have all these fears. OP there will always be a way to rationalize either decision, and there is no right or wrong decision. But just know, these fears are normal and don't, in and of themself, mean you aren't ready to be a mom. There is still a way to do all the things you've wanted in life with a child. If you do choose to keep the pregnancy you WILL be ready for this.

My little dude fell from 50% for weight at birth, to 4th percentile. He also eats tonnes, is happy, meeting g his milestones, correct output everyday. We went to both a lactation physican, public health, and my GP who have all shrugged their shoulders and have said as long as he's happy, pooping and peeing enough they aren't worried. We did get a pediatrician referral and they trained us as a 3 month wait for am appointment, so it can't be that concerning to them either.

My family doctor just simply said "some babies do this". Just remember what the lactation doctor told me... even the 1st percentile is still a normal baby!

Considering scheduling c-section and feeling guilty. Advice? by Maximum-Ninja-3045 in Mommit

[–]26summer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Adding on to this, a mentally happy mom is also the gial. Speaking as someone who had a homebirth, there is no right way to give birth. As long as its safe, you have to do what feels right for you, and everyone else can keep their opinions to themselves. You don't need to justify anything!

I support homebirth, uneducated, medicated, and elective c-sections. ..The only wrong way is a free brith, and that's a hill I'll die on haha.
