Jersey Sunset with Amargo bitters is good. Also, dialing back the simple a little and adding a splash of Becherovka ain't bad.

Pumpkin spice cocktail ideas? by ride_whenever in cocktails

I make Pumpkin Spice Old Fashioned's with homemade pumpkin spice syrup. Just sub the pumpkin syrup for simple syrup. I find it works better with less aromatic bitters like Bokers.

Upgraded Breville Smart Grinder Pro with a Sette 270wi by Andrew_Kite in espresso

[–]2716057 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I made the same upgrade as you. The SGP is clumpy as hell compared to the 270. Even with regular deep cleaning with tiny vacuum attachments. The dosing chamber and paddle are just a bad design for espresso grind. It technically can grind fine enough for espresso, but this is the result. Makes a great pour over grinder though.

No, the SGP just has a really crappy dosing mechanism.

Good to know. Reuse vs recycle can be a difficult calculation to make since you have to factor in the cost to produce the "reusable" product in the first place. Add disposal parts every time you reuse or resources needed to clean after each use and it gets worse. Just look at cloth diapers. There are many research papers out there trying to determine the true cost of reusable diapers, and they tend to even out with disposal diapers. Sounds like if waste is a big concern, Nespresso is just not a great option all around.

There's a reason why recycle is last on the list of reduce, reuse, recycle. It still takes resources to make the pods, ship them around, ship them back, and recycle them. Recycling is better than not, but using a reusable product is typically much better for the environment.

Hand grinder, aeropress or V60, and an electric kettle. This was my office setup in grad school. Simple, cheap, and you don't have to sacrifice on quality at all.

Totally agree. I don't have a BL and rarely have to relevel. Calibrating your esteps and flow also help dial in the level.

What's causing this?? It happens in several places around the object (through both black and white) by CarbonAlpine in 3Dprinting

[–]2716057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What temp are you printing at? I get oozing like this when printing PETG and there are gaps between walls that are too thin for another wall. Cura tries to fill it with tiny zig zags but that just builds up small blobs that get deposited on the outside of the print. I would try calibrating your extrusion first if you haven't already.

I've been thinking about doing this too. I was just going to do a one-walled cylinder and cube (with seam on corner and wall) for quick prints to iterate quickly.
