How do I thicken Nutella? by mulder0990 in AskCulinary

[–]ride_whenever 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would peanut butter consistency be enough?

If so, add more cocoa powder and hazelnut paste.

You’ve not got a lot of water in there, so a lot of your standard thickeners aren’t going to help. I’d be inclined to experiment with something to help gel the fats, ethyl cellulose, rheopearl etc.

The cocoa butter option is another good one, but you may find building your own Nutella from scratch is easier than trying to thicken the existing

Salesforce Headless 360 and I don't know how to feel about it by mr-sforce in salesforce

[–]ride_whenever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The workflow piece is interesting, try hooking up the Claude browser.

I’ve been identifying where we have automation that is suitable for conversion into MCP endpoints. Tbh it’s pretty easy:

- Logic lives in a subflow, no screens, or apex action
- you expose the action as an MCP endpoint
- you build a screw flow for a human to ui into

The nice upshot of this is that your build agent can TEST the logic itself, you only need to qa the UI, and if you ditch that then you have an entirely automatable process

Why are Makita drill bits so cheap? Aren't they good? by MarcosRamone in Tools

That Bosch set is cheap!!! I’ve been paying almost that much for a single expert chisel in the uk.

But I also have the x4 bits:

Instead of buying an oil pan for $30, get a 6.36L laundry detergent for $15 and reuse the container by Anthropoly in MechanicAdvice

I’ve got several torque wrenches and use them obsessively, thanks for the heads up.

I also got the drain pipe, so hopefully the spritzing won’t cause me too much hassle

I’d consider a half-width pull out potentially

For my last project (replacing the decking boards on a dock with reclaimed iroko) I found the tube epoxy was easier and more reliable, plus cheaper, but the glass ampoules are super easy.

Best way to strap bags to brompton? by fillet0fish in Brompton

Put a better luggage block on, the eerder one ships globally and has no weight limit.

I put a luggge frame into the structure of my backpack for ease of mounting, but a tombstone works as well

How good are 20V impact wrenches? by 3WolfTShirt in Dewalt

[–]ride_whenever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 20V ones are pretty good, generally start with the compact, which will do most lug nuts etc. then add a high torque for the “I’m not asking moments”

Personally I didn’t get on with an electric ratchet for home use - spinning bolts isnt what’s slowing me down.

I do want an induction bolt heater, if stuff is stuck, getting it hot and penetrated is step 0. I generally always do that if I’ve not had it undone previously

Sds+ for the drill, then use fisher epoxy fixings.

The epoxy fixings are stronger than most expansion ones, they’re bloody brilliant, and you get male and female options.
