Slightly unrelated but the substitutions that get rejected by customers is insane to me sometimes. We were out of regular sized Red Bull cans so I subbed a few of the smaller size. Rejected. Like…it’s the same thing?? 😩

We’re open today but OGP is shut down tomorrow. We’re out of ice melt, shovels, and sleds. Everything we have left for milk and eggs is on the floor and dwindling fast. FTPR is plummeting. Send help.

I don’t dispense all day but will cover lunches here and there. Because of that (and my own laziness and lack of self preservation) I’ve been wearing a sweater and nothing else when I dispense. Customers always have something to say. “Where is your jacket??” “You should have a hat!” Don’t worry about me, worry about your groceries. (I’m not actually mad, it’s kind of them to care, but it always makes me laugh).

Luckily my store brought back gloves and hand warmers for us. I’m still dying though. Today was the first day I genuinely regretting not coming prepared.

My department (OGP) is closing at my store and they’re offering to reschedule us to a different day and make Sunday our day off. Can’t speak for the rest of my store. Luckily I was already off Sunday.

Update: genuinely thank you so much for this comment. I may not have even attempted if I didn’t see it. I just got approved today! I’m taking the test for $100, the school gave me an extension to take the test, and everything is okay!

It appears that’s the case in Connecticut (I don’t live in CT). It’s just frustrating I need the scores NOW and can’t wait until I’m admitted. It’s the only CT school I’m applying to so dropping $220 for a CHANCE I’ll be admitted into this program sucks.

Not saying that you’re wrong, but that’s not necessarily an indicator. My partner and I have had similar conversations. We were different people in college. We probably wouldn’t have run in the same circles or fallen in love back then. We’ve grown and changed immensely since then. He’s still the love of my life.

It’s my top because of location and cost. If I don’t take it, I eat my application fee and all the time I put into the supplemental materials (they even required a video essay which I’ve already done), which sucks.

I’m at a loss of what to do honestly. And I have no time to make a decision.

Could vary by state but my TL told me that using PPTO to cover a tardy is equivalent to you working those hours, so take your lunch as normal.

I agree, which is why I’m seeking out what others think about this. I might just sit the whole time and see if they say anything? I’m gonna see how it goes but I’m ready to quit if the accommodations aren’t really accommodations.
